We hired Ptarmigan String Quartet to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Vicki was really easy to work with and went over our wedding song selection several times before the event. We gave her a general idea of the style we wanted and she had a long song list to choose from, including a large repertoire of Jewish songs. She went over all the details with our officiant and planner to make sure the timing was spot on. Everybody really enjoyed their music and had a great time!

They were AMAZING! They were on time, professional, and really worked with me to make sure my wedding day was perfect. I loved that I was able to choose the playlist at both my ceremony and cocktail hour. They really worked with my wedding planner to make sure their timing was spot on. The Ptarmigan String Quartet exceeded our expectations in every way. Not only were they our most responsive vendor but they followed up consistently, agreed to all special requests, kept us on a time line to ensure we got the music we wanted and even attended our rehearsal to make sure all would flow smoothly. The list of music they could play was extensive and they were open to learning something new that we requested. The gig that I have hired the Ptarmigan Quartet for upon several occasions requires that the group is well-versed in music of a particular time period, in this case Victorian or Baroque. We work closely in determining the best music for the theatrical event. It has been my experience time and again that the group is always curious and willing to bring the best program to the table. They are true professionals and most valued collaborators in every sense of the word. I hope to continue to work with them in the future.

They were amazing and very professional. We had a special request song (all of the lights) that we requested for when the bride walked down. This song wasnt in their list of songs but they practiced it and learned it in a short amount of time and it came out beautifully.

Ptarmigan String Quartet was such a pleasure to work with. They were very helpful in forming the song list for my wedding. They were able to recommend great songs. They always replied promptly to my emails and were very easy to communicate with. I had a vocalist accompany the quartet for my wedding and they addressed and worked with the vocalist very well. They were forthright with what they needed from me, including sending reminders, and were forgiving with me when I sent them information late. On top of it all, they played beautifully and truly made my wedding ceremony.

Ptarmigan was great! I hired them for my wedding reception - they made every effort to play the demanding repertoire I asked for. Vicki was so good about following up with me, and being patient while I was busy taking care of 1000 other things. I received a lot of feedback from my guests - they loved how classy the reception was, and how nice it was to hear something other than an DJ. Live classical music was a real treat to them and to me and my bride - I'm hoping to hire them again in the future!
