Michael did such a wonderful job playing at our wedding, he really set the mood and made it intimate and relaxing. I'm still hearing about how wonderful his music was from my family and friends, and I would highly reccommend him for anyone's special event. The bagpipes were a big hit!! Thank you!

We hired Michael Lancaster to play the bagpipes for our wedding. His playing was not only wonderful, he was incredibly professional and helpful even when it started to rain! His online music selection made it easy to plan our ceremony music even though I was 100s of miles away. And his sincerity and love for performing was evident. We are deeply appreciative to Michael for helping to make our wedding ceremony such a memorable event.

Michael was great! We contacted him in February, and over the months he kept in touch. As our date grew closer, we got together for a run-through of songs, etc. He was very prompt in arriving for the wedding, performed exactly as we asked, and was such an asset to our day! I would definitely recommend him as a performer for other events!

Actually, Michael himself was unavailable to perform at my daughter's wedding due to a conflict with the Denver Highland Games. However, he arranged for another piper, Alex McIntosh to perform for us. Alex was wonderful and went out of his way to be a part of our celebration. He played beautifully, despite the border-line weather and having to stand on a rock outcropping for much of the ceremony. Driving down from Denver to be with us was above and beyond. He made out Scottish Handfasting Ceremony a great success -- and everyone who was there praised him highly.

On time, looked great, sounded great. Happily stayed longer than we originally planned because the service took longer than we had planned. We wished he had more old Scots hymns/psalms in repertoire, but those are pretty specialized songs--probably not much call for them. Michael was gracious and pleasant throughout, even during our momentary confusion about where the church office had stored his check.

We had Steve Shurack rather than Michael Lancaster (the latter was booked already). Steve did a good job. He was professional, showed up on time, was unobtrusive, etc. He missed a few notes on the wedding march, but otherwise was very good. Michael Lancaster arranged it all for us--via this site--and was very professional, helpful, etc.

My husband and I had hired a guitarist for our wedding. We could never get a hold of the original guitarist and he was horrible about returning our phone calls. Finally about 3 weeks before our wedding I got online and found Michael Lancaster I emailed him that night at around 11 pm and the following morning he had already emailed me back. My husband and I met with Michael that day and hired him on the spot. He took away all of my worries and made me and my husband feel 10 thousand times better. Before meeting Michael we had no idea what to do with our music. He figured out everything for us and was amazing! When we left his house that first day we knew we made the right decision. Michael saved us from loosing our minds! Michael played both the guitar and bagpipes at our wedding and it was beautiful! He did a wonderful job! Michael was UNBELIEVABLE. His talent, professionalism, and personality are by far the best we could have hoped for. Everything he played was beautiful, and he went to extreme great lengths to provide us with the best music for our ceremony. He even made a special recording of a piece that we knew we wanted but he had not yet recorded. He took the time in his studio to record and then send the piece of music to us before we booked him just so we could be more confident in our decision.
My family and I talk about how one's love of bagpipes is "in the blood," and how the music beckons a reaction from inside that is difficult to explain. We all had the same reaction when Michael played for our wedding ceremony.
Thank you a million times! It was unforgettable :)

I hired Michael Lancaster to perform at my mother's memorial service in Southeastern Colorado and was highly pleased with his talent and professionalism. Since my mother was Irish, Michael played an array of wonderful Irish melodies outside of the church prior to the service. This set the tone for the event and was a warm welcome for those attending. At the end of the service, Michael marched to the front of the chapel while playing Amazing Grace. It was a beautiful and touching way to end our tribute to mom. Not only is he a fine musician, but Michael's appearance and presentation are top-notch. I highly recommend him.

We hired Michael to provide guitar music as a background for our Learning Cafe - an open learning bookstore environment/experiment we were trying for our annual conference of 1600 people. Michael was responsive, punctual, 100% accommodating of what we were trying to do, sought constant feedback that he was meeting our needs, and best of all, performed beautiful music that was greatly appreciated by our conference attendees. Michael came and did a presentation for our elementary school students with his bagpipes. He did an excellent job with holding their attention and making it appropriate for their age level.
