Wedding Ceremony•Reviewed on October 12, 2010•From Boulder, CO
We had a wonderful experience with Steve Emmerson, who was actually the bagpiper that played. Everything was perfect. The music was beautiful, he was very professional, dressed in the appropriate attire and gave a wonderful performance. I would reccommend him any day.
Thank you!

Chet Choszezyk was the piper provided by Michael Lancaster, and he was one of the most accomplished pipers we've ever heard. In addition, he was a good boy scout: he was well prepared and willingly played a couple extra songs to help fill in some gaps and slow-downs in the wedding ceremony. And, he allowed plenty of travel time to get to our mountain venue which was a good thing because a traffic accident caused traffic to be rerouted, and he still made it on time. He really helped make my daughter's wedding special!

He was great. On time, very accomodating (brought a lapel mic for our officiant), played through without any need for promting or effort from the wedding party. He played beautifully and was much appreciated.

Michael did an outstanding job for us. We were very taken with his music and he perfected our wedding day with his guitar playing. Michael is communicative, very easy to work with, assists in planning when necessary, and is a gifted musician. We highly recommend Michael Lancaster to perform at your next function!
Birthday Party (Adult)•Reviewed on September 20, 2008•From Denver, CO
Michael was not available for my mother's 80th birthday party, so he arranged to have Steve Shurack play the classical guitar for her party. Steve was excellent and we got many complements from the guest's and my mother loved his music. Michael did an excellent job of coordination and follow-up. Highly recommend!!

This bagpiper was actually Gordon Stewart, who is a colleague of Michael Lancaster. He was very talented and accommodating, and really added a lot of depth to the wedding music. Michael Lancaster, who set up our gig, was quick to respond to calls and emails and was a very good coordinator. I was very satisfied with these two musicians and would highly recommend them.

Michael was fantastic on our wedding day, we could have listened to him play the bagpipes all day long!! He arrived well on time and was very handsome and smartly dressed.
Michael was/is a very freindy and helpful person, he didn't only play fantastic at our wedding but he was of great support to us too. I, as the groom I was very nervous and Michael was there for me as a friend and gave me great support. (Thanks Michael)
I am from Scotland and I've heard many bagpipers play in my time and I can honestly say that Michael is a natural. If you ever want a bagpiper then It's pointless looking elsewhere as Michael is the best you'll find so save time and money and hire Michael for your special day, he will not let you down!!!
Thanks ever so much again Michael, we'll be more than happy to hire you again in the future.

Community Event•Reviewed on March 17, 2007•From Parker, CO
We recently had the pleasure of hiring Michael Lancaster to perform for our March 17th Kids Kulture! event down here in Parker. This free family event takes place on the third Saturday of every month, and the theme for 2007 is 'Music and Theater from Around the World'. Michael's performance was the perfect fit for our audience of about 75 4 to 10 year-olds. The kids asked great questions about his instrument, his attire, and the history of bagpipes. I would highly recommmend him to any group that is interested in a professional performer.

Private Party•Reviewed on March 16, 2007•From Cheyenne, WY
It was a sincere pleasure working with Michael Lancaster. He responded promptly to emails I sent prior to the event and really put my mind at ease. Michael provided outstanding entertainment for our private party on March 16th. He was prompt, friendly and professional. Michael played the bagpipes outside, at a distance, then walked up to the house. In between songs he broke into his Irish accent and explained the pipes, kilt, tradition and also told jokes. He was very at ease with the audience. At the end, he piped his way out. Michael set the stage for an awesome party. All our guests were so impressed. It could not have gone any better, thank you Michael!

After dealing with the huge headache of planning a wedding and everything that goes wrong with what you have planned, Michael was a refreshing change!! Everything that I had wanted him to do was made possible and without a hitch. It was the only thing that went right the entire wedding. Thank you for that. I would recommend him without any hesitation whatsoever and hire him again for any future events.

Though Michael coordinated for me through Gigmasters, we actually had Gordon Stewart play at our wedding. He was recommended by Michael Lancaster as Michael himself was already booked for my wedding weekend. Michael was very personable, helpful, and followed up with all of the details to see that Gordon and I coordinated everything we needed to. He was a pleasure to work with. And Gordon Stewart was a DELIGHTFUL part of our wedding day. Not just talented on the bagpipes, but a delightful person to meet. I thoroughly enjoyed working with both of these guys and they really made sure that their contribution to our wedding day was special and smooth. Thanks!

Michael was booked, but quickly found a solo guitarist for our wedding. The replacement had an unfortunate fall from a ladder the day before our wedding, but amazingly, was able to find another guitarist available. Don filled in for Steve and the event was absolutely perfect. He added a very special touch to our special day. We recommended these fine musicians 100%.

Michael was one of the most helpful, flexible and accomodating people we had working on our wedding. From the beginning he was offering suggestions, recommending different music and really adding to the specialness of the ceremony. We made a number of small changes to our ceremony based on Michael's recommendations and all of them made a difference in how well everything flowed. The music was fantastic and all of our quests loved it. We would recommend Michael to anyone!

The service was absolutely amazing. Gordon did a wonderful job! I really appreciated how easy it was to work with both gentlemen especially during this difficult time. I would with out a doubt HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. We received so many comments about how the bagpiper really added to the entire ceremony! Our family absolutely loved it, and I'm most certain my father enjoyed it.
THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
