Wedding CeremonyReviewed on September 12, 2010From Breckenridge, CO

Michael was amazing. From the first day he contacted us he was professional and wanted only to make our ceremony what we wanted. He busted out the bagpipes witth nobody knowing when we pronounced. He has a wonderful mellow guitar flavor, exactly what we were looking for. Hopefully I will use him again for something else.

WeddingReviewed on June 16, 2007From Denver, CO

Michael was fantastic to work with and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who was looking for an acoustic guitarist or bagpiper for their event. He played acoustic guitar for our wedding ceremony in City Park, accompanied a friend while she sang a song for us (he learned the music to do this in less than two months while doing numerous other events), and played for our guests during the cocktail hour and dinner at our reception. He also offered a microphone for our officiant so everyone could hear him and us at the ceremony. He was just plain fantastic to work with and was very helpful and accomodating and easy...something that is very important to a stressed-out bride. FIVE STARS!!! I could not say enough nice things about this man. Thank you, Michael, for making our day complete!

FuneralReviewed on September 1, 2006From Santa Fe, NM

Michael Lancaster accomplished much more than I had expected. He was punctual in correspondence, VERY helpful in helping to plan my Dad' Internment Service, very handsome at the service, and he played a fine bagpipe...melody, rythmn, tone were very good. In short I would reccomend him to anyone wanting the very best for their special occasion. Attaboy, Michael, and a sincere, heatfelt thanks to you.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on August 18, 2011From Thornton, CO

Michael was absolutely AWESOME! We had a beautiful outdoor wedding and the bagpipes just completed the whole thing. He arrived early, played the songs that we requested as well as some other ones that he chose. He was very professional and asked if there was anything else he could do before he left. We would recommend him to anyone that is interested. We did not have a videographer but we recorded the ceremony on a cassette tape. You can hear his bagpipes loud and clear. He walked in front of us while he played after the ceremony was over. That in itself makes you feel like royalty!!! We will definately hire Michael again! Choosing him was the best decision we made!!

CelebrationReviewed on August 8, 2011From Denver, CO

We had bagpiper Michael Lancaster be a part of a little celebration our neighborhood block had to honor a loved and valued neighbor. It couldn't have been more perfect. Michael was not only a talented performer but a delightful person. Yesterday's celebration will never be forgotten by anyone. I really appreciated how Michael did not drop the ball at any point once he had been contacted to take this gig. There was never a question of "well, is he or isn't he?" Do not hesitate to hire this man! :-) Susan in Denver

Michael was so far beyond wonderful! He was professional and talented and so respectful of the emotions of the event. I cannot say enough about how good the experience was. We have listened to the CD of the event many times, and it gets better each time.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on September 27, 2011From Colorado Springs, CO

This was my first wedding to plan and I made mistakes that directly affected Michael and put him in a difficult position. But he was always kind and professional about it which I appreciated so much because I felt bad already. He was the consumate professional and put my mind as well as the bride's at ease with every communication we had with him. He is talented, kind and VERY easy to work with. We didn't have an opinion regarding the music during the unity sand ceremony and he chose the perfect song for it, just like we knew her would. I would recommend him to anyone thinking about having a musician at their wedding and/or reception.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on May 22, 2011From Denver, CO

Michael showed up on time at 11:30. We paid for him to play for 3 1/2 hours, he packed up his guitars at 2:00, a full hour early. We requested all Celtic music, plus "our song" (Far Away by Nickelback), paid an extra $25 for our song, which I never heard played, and despite the request for all other music to be Celtic, I heard Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, and others. He knew it was a Celtic wedding, but showed up in a suit, not the kilt I expected (which I had seen him wear before at Old Chicago), so he was literally THE ONLY person at the wedding not dressed appropriately. NOT worth the $400 I was charged.

Anniversary PartyReviewed on March 24, 2012From Boulder, CO

Michael played the bagpipes at a reception following my in-laws 65th anniversary ceremony renewing their vows. I live out of state and had to make the arrangements long distance and on short notice. Michael's response to my bid and communication planning the event was wonderful! His suggestions were very thoughtful. Everyone loved his bagpipe playing and sincerity! Rave reviews from everyone! Great memories! I highly recommend Michael Lancaster!

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on February 26, 2012From Colorado Springs, CO

We hired Michael for a family birthday party. He arrived exactly on time, marching and piping from across the street up our driveway to make a grand entrance. He played all the tunes we had requested, as well as several others. He stopped inbetween songs to tell jokes and to give some brief history and information about the bagpipes. It was interesting and entertaining. My family had a wonderful time and Michael did a great job. Everyone told me afterwards that they were impressed with how well he played and with his performance overall. Couldn't have been better!

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on August 19, 2012From Windsor, CO

Michael Lancaster is AWESOME at what he does! Totally professional and talented! We hired him for guitar and bagpipes for our ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding. Everyone at our wedding was talking about the bagpipes and how awesome it was and said the guitar music was beautiful as well. The professionalism throughout the planning process was also easy because Michael is quick to respond to emails and makes and takes suggestions. We HIGHLY recommend Michael!

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on July 26, 2013From Idledale, CO

Michael was very easy to get a hold of. We hired Michael to play at our wedding. His website has a couple lists of songs - with and without vocals. From these I was able to come up with a playlist for our wedding ceremony. I did have a couple special requests. Special requests do cost extra - for the time it takes him to learn and practice the new songs. The extra was well worth it. I was able to walk down the aisle to an instrumental that I remember my grandmother playing and humming to when I was a little girl and Michael also accompanied a good friend of mine as she sang for us during our tree planting ceremony. I would hire Michael again for sure!

Memorial ServiceReviewed on August 13, 2012From Lafayette, CO

Michael first made a positive impression on me by getting back to me almost immediately after I placed my request on Gigmasters. He was kind, professional and didn't blink an eye when I had to move his arrival time up an hour. He offered good ideas as to how his part could best be woven into my sister's Memorial service. I would hire Michael again, no question. I would also recommend him to anyone and everyone. Eileen

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on July 22, 2012From Allenspark, CO

Michael was extremely accommodating and flexible with both our wedding details and our budget. Michael himself was unavailable for our wedding but he sent Steve, one of his other bagpipers and both Michael and Steve were amazing and took care of every detail down to the kilt Steve wore!! Thanks so much for everything! It was amazing!
