Mr Alan Oresky was absolutely wonderful in every respect performing his music at my daughter's wedding. A five star rating isn't even an adequate number of stars to describe my experience with Alan. Prior to hearing him, I was leaning towards another violinist, but boy am I glad that I decided to give him a listen. Not only is he a PHENOMINAL musician with a vast musical repertoire, but he also has a BEAUTIFUL spirit! (feels genuine, not forced for the purpose of winning you over) He performed for our pre-Thanksgiving celebratory dinner at the nursing facility I work for, and to say that the residents and staff ABSOLUTLY LOVED him would be an UNDERSTATMENT! I totally recommend Alan to anyone looking for an accomplished violinist. He is truly a gem!

I contacted Alan regarding a memorial service for my recently departed SO/Partner. His participation was a huge addition to what we had envisioned for the life celebration. I had some specific requests which he accommodated wonderfully and we threw a few last minutes curves at him in terms of adding another musician. He was professional in how he handled himself and the last minutes changes, performed beautifully and was a real gentleman. At the end of the service, people got out of their seats and danced. Could not have been a better ending to what Alison and I had envisioned.

Without Alan, my wedding day would not have been complete. The music he played helped to set the tone for my wedding day. He was very wonderful and easy to work with. I asked him to play a certain song as I walked down the aisle, which he did without a problem. I would truly recommend Alan for any event. I can not say enough praises about him.

What a great experience! Alan was great with communication and feedback. He offered us suggestions for our wedding ceremony music and arranged several songs that we wanted to hear but he didn't have in his repertoire. Alan was prepared and ready to go at ceremony time. It was like he had practiced with us the night before. Seamless. I would highly recommend Alan and whomever he brings to play with him. We have received so many compliments regarding his musical talents and that of his co-musician, Esther Haynes. Bravo to both!

We are so happy that we chose Alan to play at our daughter's wedding. We chose him after going over several violinist profiles and reviews. My daughter and her new husband along with several of our guests commented on the quality of his playing along with his wonderful selection of music. My daughter had a few requests and I asked him to include some Irish/Celtic and bluegrass. He chose the rest. My 80 year old aunt loved his version of "Danny Boy." Alan Oresky is a very talented fiddler and mandolin player. He not only took the fiddle lead in playing Old-Time music, but also worked to integrate the other musicians so that our string band produced a great sound. Our audience was very appreciative and impressed with the fiddle solo pieces he played for us including Jerusalem Ridge, a difficult but beautiful bluegrass instrumental tune. Alan was the key musician that made our concert a success. Depending on the tune, Alan appropriately chose to play either the fiddle or the mandolin to best accompany the band. Alan's friendly personality and guidance was a great asset to the band. We hope to work with him again.

I am recording an album of original contemporary music and needed Alan's violin and mandolin talents to add to the sound of my songs. We set up are a recording session where Alan was to overdub his violin and mandolin parts to selected songs. He arrived early and rehearsed and worked diligently to add his unique talents to the mix. I could not be happier with the results. Not only were Alan's violin/mandolin parts spot on but his creativity in adding his voice greatly enhanced the music. Alan was absolutely amazing in the way that he created a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. His talent was evident from the time he began. The set list was left completely up to him for our wedding and he was only given the direction of what I wanted the feeling of the day to be. Alan accommodated my needs on a very short time frame for a retirement dinner for 25 that due to weather, had to be moved inside. He communicated with me on a timely basis and delivered on all expectations. My guests loved him. He even had some dancing in my living room! Alan was a consummate professional. His playing added additional class to my grand-daughter's wedding. He was more than accommodating with requests. Many of our guests expressed delight with his playing and were also impressed with his use of not only the violin but also a mandolin.
