Amethyst trio were excellent. I hired them for a memorial service. My father enjoyed the violin, and I wanted to have a nice violin piece during the service. They were able to provide multiple suggestions for the piece - we chose the Vivaldi Winter Largo section. They were on time and played while people were coming in. When it came to the piece in the middle of the memorial, there was a mixup with the funeral parlor and they started a video during the piece. The group took it in and even extended their music since the video went long. I received many compliments from attendees saying that they really enjoyed the music.

Lara was a pleasure to work with. She makes the process of hiring the trio seamless. They showed up when they said they would, and began playing at the time they said they would.
Our wedding was held at a resort, and I was very fortunate to have my bridal suite overlooking our ceremony site. I could hear the wonderful music as I put on the finishing touches.
This group sounds fantastic! My guests were delighted and many commented on how beautiful the music was after the event. Trust me, choosing this group is a “no-brainer”. If the Amethyst Trio is available on your event date, book them!

I hired Lara to play at my wedding in Santa Cruz, California. She played at both the ceremony and reception. I could not have been happier with the quality of the music and the personality of the musicians! What talented and nice people! They took requests from myself and guests and added an overall ambience that could not be beat! I constantly had people coming up to me raving about how great the music sounded. I would recommend this group for any occasion you are thinking of. It was the icing on the cake of a great wedding weekend!

We hired Oceana for mom's 80th birthday. They were awesome and provided exactly the accompaniment the party needed. The guests were very impressed and could not stop commenting to me how great the music was. Lara and Ben were simply awesome!

Oceana Duo performed admirably at our wedding ceremony. We requested some atypical music (classical), and they played it with ease and precision. They were obviously skilled musicians, but also had a very professional and elegant presentation. It was a pleasure to communicate with them in advance of our event--they responded to emails instantly and were extremely punctual and well-prepared. I would highly recommend Oceana Duo to anyone!!

Both musicians were not only on time and eager to get things moving, but were also very easy to work with. The music was wonderful and fit the occasion perfectly. They were professional and very kind, making sure that they provided the correct song at the perfect moment. I can't say enough good things about the Ocean Sands Trio. They played from a very impressive repertoire for the three hours of our wedding reception and, even though there were 60 people in a relatively small space, their sound never "got in the way" of conversation. Lara is dependable, flexible and accommodating–three very important adjectives for the business she's in–and I wouldn't hesitate in giving her my highest and most enthusiastic recommendation!
