Funeral•Reviewed on August 30, 2008•From New York City, NY
I couldn't have asked for more. Jerry was at the church for the funeral before the hearse arrived, and at the cemetery before the procession arrived. He researched on his own where to be and coordinated with the priest the timing of a heart-wrenching rendition of "Amazing Grace" as my father was being laid to rest. It was a sad occasion to be sure, but Jerry provided dignity and respect to the services. I would recommend him in a minute for his courteousness, professionalism, punctuality, and his sense of appropriateness to the occasion. Thank you Jerry... My father would have loved it.

I was absolutely blown away with Jerry's entrance, appearance, performance and personality. He added the "wow" factor to an already pretty neat party -- and he was perfect!!

Jerry was nothing short of AMAZING! He was a wonderful and unique surprise for my husband on his 40th birthday in the middle of his work day! Everyone at my husband's workplace raved about Jerry. He got everyone singing and lifted everyone's spirits with his beautiful irish music. My husband gave Jerry the best compliment when he said Jerry was "authentic" and "the real deal." He was a pleasure to deal with over the phone, arrived on time, performed the songs I requested, and made my husband's birthday extra-special. I will recommend Jerry to my close friends and family in the future. THANK YOU AGAIN JERRY!!!!!!!!

Birthday Party (Adult)•Reviewed on June 3, 2008•From Manhattan, NY
Jerry Dixon, "The NYC Piper," was nothing short of spectacular. Perched atop a rock outcropping in full ragalia in Central Park, he brought all of Central Park South to a halt with his glorious piping. His accomodation of requested tunes and his own extensive repertoire made for an unforgettable event, one that my family -- and half the residents of Central Park South -- will be talking about for years. On a scale of 1 to 5, "The NYC Piper" is a 10.

Jerry was warm, friendly and professional from the first time we met to hear him play. He was completely accommodating with regards to the music we wanted to hear, tempos we had in our heads, his attire to fit our occasion and every other detail that presented itself. Our guests were thrilled with his playing (as were we). He was an integral part of our big day and we couldn't have been happier. Thanks Jerry!

Jerry Dixon was wonderful to work with. He was prompt, responsive, and answered any and all questions we had. He was also incredibly laid back and kind which made the whole process that much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend him to anyone for any occasion for which they needed a bagpiper.

Jerry played the pipes at out wedding ceremony AND - as a bonus - he played a song my mom casually mentioned to him as a surprise just FOR HER during the cake cutting (he, of course, politely asked me beforehand if playing an extra tune would be o.k.). He went above and beyond what was contracted and made a very imporant walk truly spectacular. We hired The NYC Piper as a way of bringing the music of my late father into the space and the moment of our wedding....no small hire...Jerry delivered and was kind and fun to boot. If you need a piper you need The NYC piper.

Jerry performed at our wedding on 8/18/07. The music was terrific, and it really added to the festive atmosphere of our ceremony. We received positive comments from many of our guests who really enjoyed his performance. We hope to hear him play again soon!

The NYC Piper was the most wonderful part of our wedding celebration! My parents were just thrilled he played so beautifully, and we so appreciated that he was ready to accommodate us and wear the family tartan! He was discreet, professional, and talented beyond belief. We rate him A1 and would absolutely not hesitate to recommend him to anyone....The guy is a genious!
