Wedding CeremonyReviewed on September 30, 2016From New York City, NY

Andrew played audition pieces over the phone to assure we would be comfortable with him and his talent. He worked hard on a special number for us (not in a typical cellist repoitoire). At our ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park, his pre-wedding music had to compete with a large festival warming up. As the officiant let me know "he was more than holding his own - lol" He played beautifully and then continued while photos ensued afterward. So nice to have his cello music in such an intimate setting in a large park. I would recommend Andrew for anyone seeking a cellist. Just specify what you would like or ask him for suggestions.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on May 23, 2016From Montclair, NJ

The cellist, Andrew was perfect choice for the party we had, he has deep knowledge in music and that shows in his playing, his some of the best (though all plays were best) Bach # 3 and 1 & ode to joy, he also played famous other songs such as, mack the knife, i love you etc.. He was on time and played till the event ends, he is very reliable cellist for your next party and i recommend him strongly

EventReviewed on June 4, 2016From New York City, NY

What can I say, Andrew was great. Throughout the whole planning Andrew kept in touch gave me updates on the music. Also took the time to look for the perfect location in Central Park in New York since I live in Los Angeles. Once we found him in the park he started to play and made our engagement special since my Fiancé loves the cello. Flowers was a very special touch that his assistant gave my Fiancé. The playing was phenomenal, did an amazing job learning the songs I gave him. I really recommend him for special events. Thanks again Andrew from Jose and Jessie.

Private PartyReviewed on March 1, 2016From New York City, NY

I have never hired a musician for any event so I was nervous to use gigmasters at first. Andrew is not only an amazing cellist, he was very pleasant and willing to help me find the perfect playlist for the event I was hosting. I highly highly recommend him.

Since the moment I met Andrew over the phone, I realized how professional and willing to accommodating he was. He was willing to put together a playlist based on my requests. He arrived to the event venue very early and he was ready to start on time. He was extremely easy in every way. Thanks again Andrew!

FuneralReviewed on October 27, 2015From White Plains, NY

Andrew was great. Hi is a very responsible person, call me right away, answer all the questions, accommodating all the request songs, very appropriate gesture for funeral occasions, all my colleagues and family members like him. Nevertheless, his musical talent as cellist is great too. I am thinking about him for my daughter's sweet 16 birthday. Thanks again Andrew., appreciate your kindness and help. Ed Pan

Engagement PartyReviewed on September 26, 2015From New York City, NY

Andrew played an extremely difficult embellishment of Bach's Prelude in G and Ave Maria w/only ONE day preparation. His performance was flawless. His professionalism, delivery, & friendliness was unparralled. All this for a surprise engagement at Belvedere Castle in Central Park that left my fiance in tears of joy & a memory she will relish with joy the rest of her life. The night would have been special w/out Andrew, but he made it unforgettable w/his phenomenal performance PLUS he cleared the courtyard & had a lady friend waiting in order to hand me a bouquet of flowers for my now fiancé. May anyone reading this be lucky enough to book you.

Graduation PartyReviewed on June 5, 2017From Brooklyn, NY

He was very sweet as well as talented. It was obvious that he really enjoyed his profession and talent and that made the experience even better. He did a lot of work to find pieces that would please me as well as my guests and gave great recommendations as to what pieces he could/might play. My guests and I loved not only hearing his beautiful music but also talking to him during his breaks. It was a great experience overall and really enhanced my party in ways that my past parties did not see.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on October 30, 2018From New York City, NY

Andrew played at our wedding. He learned five new songs for us. A few days before the wedding, we had a phone call and was able to sample all the songs. The only bump we encountered was the time of the ceremony, it started to mist and it caused a delayed to our start time. We were behind by 30 minutes because of the need to shelter Andrew’s cello. We completely understood that his equipment is a very expensive piece and can’t be wet. We just hoped the two, coordinator and Andrew communicated a little earlier. This cause the end of the ceremony to be in the dark. Our photos suffered from this. Overall, Andrew was great and we were mostly happy with his performance.

Private PartyReviewed on October 12, 2021From New York City, NY

I hired Andrew Monohan (cellist) and Bree Clarke (vocalist) to play at a house party. This I have done before. I am always pleased with the work of Andrew and Bree as it brings a pleasant, volume-at-the-right-level sound to the event. Andrew and Bree know a variety of standard soft rock and show tunes that will please most any audience. Andrew has excellent intuition as an accompanist to Bree's high, pure vocals. They are a pleasure to have for a party with a subtle, familiar background and direct listening pleasure.

Stephen, It was great performing at your party with Bree Clarke. So happy that it was a success! ---Andrew Monohan
