Duncan was very professional and added a great touch to the burial service of my father. The entire family commented on how beautiful the music was. He arrived early and set up prior to our arrival. I could hear him from a distance as we approached, and he continued to play until the service started. He then played at the end of the service and from a distance as we left. Duncan was excellent with communication, letting me know that he was nearby 30 minutes before the start time, showing up on time and letting me know that he’d arrived, as well as in the initial contact phase. He was totally professional during the event, maintaining appropriate decorum for the funeral type ceremony. He offered options of music that he could perform, and he spelled out what he intended to do to verify that it was what we wanted. All was executed exactly as described, and enjoyed by all attending.

Duncan earns a 10+ in every category. He was very easy to work with & communicated with me several times ahead of the event. He arrived early to tune up so he was ready to go right on time. The event was for a socially distanced 50th bday party. He had very upbeat music & spent a few minutes talking about each song. He even played Happy Birthday! HIs lovely music brought out all of the neighbors who gathered in the street to hear him play. It was a truly special event and his music brought a smile to everyone's face. You can not go wrong with Duncan.

Duncan was so helpful and knowledgeable in how to incorporate the playing of the bagpipes into my daughter's wedding. Hearing the bagpipes as we walked into the church set an amazing atmosphere. His playing of Amazing Grace in the service brought tears to many. He is a highly professional piper and really made the wedding such an authentic Scottish experience.

I could not recommend anyone more highly. We hired Duncan to play at the end of the first day of our annual Blue Ridge Ryder Cup in honor of two players who had passed away in the past year. From our first conversation, Duncan was enthusiastic and extremely easy to work with, including the timing challenges of wanting him to begin playing as that day's final round neared its end. He is an extremely talented and accomplished bagpiper.

Duncan was exceptional throughout the whole process and wedding event. He was very responsive and accommodating to all requests. He made sure to check in a few times before my wedding to make sure everything was good-to-go and was so thoughtful to ask for my coordinator's information so that he wouldn't have to bother the bride :)

Duncan played for my late husband's celebration of life, and truly set the tone for the event by piping guests into the State Theater, brought everyone to tears with a phenomenal rendition of Amazing Grace, and closed the presentations with the Parting Glass and an upbeat tune to start the party. He truly understood what I wanted, adapted to the schedule changes, and was a delight to work with. All my guests raved about his playing, including the native Scots in the group. I'll hire him again and would recommend him to everyone!

A piobaire iontach! Duncan is a professional in every sense of the word. Dressed in Highland regalia with attention to detail, including the sporran hanging from his waist. He is knowledgeable about his art and its history and he shares his knowledge with listeners. His pipe music alternately touched our hearts and stirred our feet to tapping. He was a big hit at the birthday party and I would hire him again in a New York minute!

Duncan was very responsive and professional for my mother's memorial. He played two songs - one of which he might have learned for the occasion? I appreciate his patience in dealing with us throughout such an emotional time - he checked in at the right times before and during and kept us on track. I would absolutely recommend him though especially if you have an event with lots of moving pieces and need a true professional.

Duncan was PERFECT. I hired him for my father's funeral. He arrived more than 30 minutes prior to the procession and we could see he was playing in the distance well before anyone arrived at the grave site. It was an extremely cold and windy day and he was dressed as you'd expect despite the below freezing temperature. His song selections were 100% appropriate and he even accommodated a favorite song. Communication was great. I don't usually write reviews, but am compelled in his case. A very talented professional who I would recommend whole heartedly. Thank you so much Duncan. My mother really appreciated the pipes, and my father would have really loved it.

Duncan was very accommodating, respectful, & professional. Following my request submission, he contacted me right away both by email & by phone. On the day of my friend's memorial, he kept in touch to let me know when he would arrive, & he was there & ready in plenty of time to start his performance at the requested time. The weather that day was fairly cold with a breezy wind & spitting rain, but Duncan handled the elements with sincere professionalism & didn't let it affect his performance. He made sure that we were satisfied & our needs were met, & I would highly recommend him to anyone.
