We hired Darrell to play the introduction of our corporate event, he suggested to add 2 drummers to round out the presentation and that made all the difference! A truly remarkable musical experience that made an lasting impression on our host, who by the way was Scottish and had flown in from Scotland to present. Very professional, showed up on time in Las Vegas having driven from CA and was always in contact providing updates all along the way. Would definitely recommend using Darrell!

Darrell is AMAZING! Our St. Patrick's Day party included over 150 guests ranging in age from 2-82. We weren't sure how the kids would react to Darrell's surprise performance which started as he marched down the street. Well - Darrell quickly became the pied piper. He was surrounded by kids doing the jig and forming a circle line dance around him. Darrell took it all in stride. His performance was top-notch, entertaining and memorable. I would highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again. THANK YOU!

What an amazing experience!! Darrell (and his two other bandmates) were fantastic. We were blown away by the authenticity and professionalism. The music was beautiful, several neighbors came outside to enjoy from afar. During the booking process, Darrell was very patient, responsive and professional. He took the time to call me and explain in detail his experience and suggestions (much appreciated after several automatic replies) and answered all of my questions with patience & kindness (thank you!) We planned other details without issue. They graciously allowed for a little picture session. Highly recommend and would absolutely book again. Cheers!

Darrell was amazing! He was a key part in the wedding experience we wanted, and he added to it perfectly. Nearly every guest we had commented on how wonderful they thought it was that we had a piper, and we couldn't have asked for a better one that Darrell.

If we could give Darrell 6 stars across the board we would!! He played for our wedding and did an amazing job! We received many compliments on his ability as a musician and how much he was enjoyed. I could not have asked for a more talented or professional person. Not only was I impressed with the bagpiper, but many of my guests commented on how much they enjoyed him. He arrived early and greated my guests as they arrived as well as playing the requested music for the ceremony. I would recommend DC Live Music to anyone interested in hiring a piper for their event.

This is an annual event at our church and the first time I have done this service. New priest, new music, new musicians...I was really worried. Mr. Calvillo was very helpful in perparing for the service, but when he and his drummer showed up (on the stormiest day of the year) looking like a Scotland travel poster, I knew everything was going to be fine. They did a spectacular job and everyone loved the service and the music. I only hope they are available next year!

Bagpiper Darrell was on time, in perfect uniform, and performed as promised. His performance (the traditional Amazing Grace) during our committal/ashes scattering ceremony, and then a more festive array of tunes during the afternoon of sailing that followed was a big hit with my guests and crew of the schooner I chartered.

Darrell was amazing at my wedding. If you need a special performer for any event, I highly recommend Darrell. From the begining Darrell worked with us in a very timely manner to make sure everything was in place to make the evening go very well. His dress was top notch and his performance was epic. Very capable of playing traditional Celtic bag pipe music to excepting special requests. He was very flexible to adapt to our special circumstances for our wedding and even played a version of AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" as our grand departure. Simply amazing! Thanks Darrell! Blake

Darrell performed at our wedding in Big Bear. He is the consummate professional!! He traveled up to Big Bear to attend our little rehearsal, just so he would have everything just right. His playing is exceptional and his presence in his full regalia is quite impressive!! All of our guests were delighted with Darrell's performance, as were my husband & I. Darrell was fantastic, very talented and very professional. I surprised my dad for his 50th birthday party and Darrell made it incredibly special! My dad cried many happy tears. Everyone loved it and Darrell even stayed a bit after his performance to talk to my dad and the people at the party. I will definitely keep Darrell in my contacts in case my Irish fam ever needs a bagpiper for any occasion. Darrell was very professional and did an excellent job playing at the service. He coordinated with the funeral director and music director at the church to fit seamlessly into the service. While Amazing Grace wasn't played as a solo before the coffin left the church, it was played during the recessional which ended up being fine. However, this may have been due to the funeral already running over time. I would recommend Darrell's services.
