Celebration•Reviewed on July 16, 2024•From Bella Vista, AR
Scott and the 3B Blues Band were everything we had hoped they would be and more! We threw a Blues Brothers-inspired party to celebrate our hot dog cart business. The band dressed the part, played the best blues music, and even brought hats and sunglasses for the kids. We will definitely use them again!

Holiday Party•Reviewed on July 14, 2014•From Torrance, CA
The holiday party was held at a senior home. There were 3 generations at the barbecue - seniors, their children and grandchildren. The music was enjoyed by all three generations. They made the event really festive. Their client reviews and videos showed that they would be good. They exceeded my expectations. Booking them for the event was the easiest transaction ever. The guests were having too much fun so we couldn't end the party as previously planned. However, the band accommodated our last minute request to extend the gig a little longer. I plan to book them again for future events. They deserve the highest rating possible. I highly recommend this group.
Wedding•Reviewed on July 7, 2007•From Hollywood, CA
The Big Boss Blues Band made our wedding reception a huge success. Everyone wanted to know, "Where did you find these guys?" and our wedding photographer told me that this was the best wedding band he had ever heard. Not only would I highly recommend these guys for any function, party, festival or celebration, I highly recommend checking them out whenever you can find them playing gigs around town. They really know how to work the crowd.
They were so personable and friendly through the whole experience, I feel like I have my own personal blues band and friends for life.
Thanks Louis and Scott for making my wedding so special.

Dinner Dance•Reviewed on May 25, 2007•From Marina del Rey, CA
This band plays all different styles and we hire them regularly and are the best band we have used. They accommodate the crowd and we have alot of repeat customers because of them. They are professional, on time, courteous and even our staff asked for them at their holiday party.
Dinner Dance•Reviewed on June 29, 2007•From Marina del Rey, CA
The Big Boss guys are great. We have been using them once a month for over a year at our dinner dance parties. They are dependable and the customers always like them. The band is flexible with requests for different types of music and have good volumes during dinner when older customers come in, or there's a special group celebration with certain songs they want, etc. Highly recommended!
Private Party•Reviewed on May 26, 2007•From Irvine, CA
Lessons learned. This is the first time that I have ever hired a band
for any event. One of the small problems we had was the room had a thirty foot cieling, this was wonderfull for the acoustics but hard
for the band to play at a low enough volume during dinner. Over all
I was asked where did you get the band, or how did you find them, and
I told them gigmasters. We had a guest that played an electric violin
(professionally--Trevor LLoyd). He played with the band for almost an
hour and as far as I was concerned made the evening. This was not the view shared by all as they were all happy with the band.
One thing I learned after the party as I gave Louis an outline of the
type of music I wanted to hear was that as long as the people in att-
endance look like they are having fun they played what they wanted.
I asked Louis why they didn't play oldies 50-60's music, his reply was
(you didn't ask me to").
The band was very prompt as they were almost set up by 4pm and I asked
them to be there by four so they could be set up by five. I would hire them again if Trevor LLoyd was included in the band (He has his
own CD Twilight World) which is great. This is a Blues Band though
and they do that very well, and they didn't mind Trevor joining them.
Our Venue was restricted by time and we had to be out of the clubhouse by ten pm. The band played their last song at 9:20 so they
could remove their equipment by ten. I have no doubts that they would have played until 10:30 if the building would have allowed it. One
thing I might mention is that 80% of the guests were still their at
9:30, and I believe that had a lot to do with having a live band. JW
