Bachelorette PartyReviewed on May 16, 2021From New York City, NY

Barb was great - she gave such a thoughtful and caring reading and was also really great about communicating leading up to and after the event (a virtual bachelorette) to make sure we were all set. Couldn't have gone better. Thanks again Barb!

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on May 21, 2024From Chicago, IL

Barbara was very nice to our guests. However, she lacked the energy I was looking for the party. Guests seemed happy but many wanted a “future” told which she did not do. She was accommodating to provide the extra time because the first 2 hours of the party many guests were still arriving and settling in. Towards the end of the booking guests really started to line up. At the end of the night. We had several guests in line for 45 minutes who couldn’t get their reading done. They were not told there was a cut off when they were waiting. . Barb said she could do 10 readings in a hour but guests told me she spent almost 15 mins per session. I paid for overtime.

I am sorry you were not satisfied with my services at your party. I do not believe that the future is engraved in stone, so I will not tell people this is what will happen. The guests seemed very happy (even amazed) at what I said. I cut the line at 9PM (expecting to be done by 9:30 as we had agreed) and asked the person at the end of the line to tell people I would stop after him. When he got to the front of the line, I saw that there were still a number of people in line. I said, “Didn't you tell them you were the last reading?” His reply was “Yes, but I don't think they believed me.” I read as many of the rest as I could. I could not stay past 10PM because I had another gig to get to. I explained that to you before the event. I told you I had a "hard stop" at 10PM. If I had realized you really needed me for 4 hours (to 11PM) I would have declined the bid. But I did not know that until after I had submitted a bid and you had booked me. Again, I am sorry you were disappointed.

CelebrationReviewed on January 26, 2012From Lake Forest, IL

This was a difficult survey to fill out. Due to the winter storm the night of our event driving was very treacherous. Barbara attempted to get to our event but the roads were too bad. I told her she did not have to come after she had already been on the road for over an hour and still had not gotten very far. She was very apologetic and felt terrible that she could not make it to our event and said she would send back our deposit. So she did not really earn those low ratings but I had to put in something to finish it. I will keep her in mind for a future event.

Thank you for your honesty, Ms Kopp. I really did try to get to this event. I was on the road over an hour and a half and traveled 3 miles When I got to a place where the road was so slippery my car skittered around as we moved and I saw cars against the embankment and a taxi sideways in the road, I called to say I could not get through.I turned back and got home at 8 pm, having made a round trip of 6 miles that took 3 hours. I should have left at 4 PM to start at 7 PM, maybe I would have gotten through, but who knows? I left at 5 PM instead, sure that 2 hours was enough to get 20 miles. I have NEVER been a no-show before and I sincerely hope I never will be again.
