We were extremely happy with Slava and the trio. We asked them to play at our wedding and had them put together a song we really love for the precession. They played it beautifully (although they didn't know it beforehand) and a few of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music. We would not hesitate to recommend the trio for any event in which the quality of the music played is important. Thank-you Slava and the international trio!!! Galia & Eddie

The “International String Trio” did an outstanding job for my birthday party. They gave me a great price as well as complete flexibility on styles (classical, jazz, world, etc.) They arrived ahead of time to set up, were extremely professional and entertaining. The performance itself was a delight, quieter at dinner, more upbeat for dancing afterwards. Our guests loved them and are still commenting on how fantastic they were. I would highly recommend them for any occasion!

The band showed up on time, looked and played great. Very cool and positive attitude, we are very impressed. Booking this band again for an event this spring and giving our highest recommendation.

Very Happy with their playing. A little rough with the classical music, but the jazz and bossa were perfection. Sound was great and the right volume.

The International String Trio did a great job for our beach wedding. We hired just a duet instead of all three players, and were very satisfied with the result. We had non-traditional songs that we wanted them to play that were not in their regular repertoire , and they both learned and played them perfectly. During the planning stages, I was a little nervous due to some delays in correspondence, but in the end I have no regrets about going with the duet for our wedding. They started the day off perfectly, and set the tone for the entire evening.

They were very helpful and professional and did a great job. They were able to follow cues from the bridal party and improv the timing, which was great since they weren't able to be there for the rehearsal since they came from so far away. They did a very good job and their music sounded lovely.

The musicians played what we had agreed on by email previously; and coordinated a couple of pieces with an additional singer performing at our wedding before the ceremony. They were very accomodating. They were providing nice background music as we had asked them to do during a drinks reception. We were able to negotiate a one-hour extension depending on weather conditions before the event, which was great.

The group performed extremely well and sounded wonderful! We received many complements on the music they played and our pieces that we requested (a few songs not on their playlist) were performed very well. Our only issue was that they were a bit slow to respond to direct emails and we did not get our contract or a confirmation that everything is a go until only a few days before our wedding, even though we had booked them 3 months in advance. All in all a good performance and a good group.

Communication was an issue. It took several repeat e-mails to get answers to my questions, and I wasn't able to speak with anyone directly until I sent an angry e-mail. Once we spoke, communcation improved. Overall performance was good. Music that was not approved was played while our guests were being seated, which I wasn't thrilled with, but it was still appropriate for the setting.

:

1. It was never specified down to the last song what to play for the prelude part of the ceremony. The client requested one specific piece (about 3-4 minutes long) for the prelude part of the ceremony (about 10-20 minutes, while the guests are being seated.) Once we performed the requested piece we played more of the appropriate classical music for the prelude. 2. Once we were booked for this gig (almost 1.5 years in advance) there were numerous email exchanges (30-40 all together about all the particulars.) Everything was finalized long before the date. We feel that we accommodated the client promptly and efficiently. Our direct line was available at all times.

Would certainly higher again. Great service, wonderful music and accommodating as well. Only issue was slight delay in email responses, but that could be an effect to us being in the UK.

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on August 31, 2015From Newton, NJ

There were a few communication glitches and the band had substitute musician. We also paid extra for the band to learn a song for our 1st dance, which did not happen. Everyone loved the band and the music. They were good, but we did not get exactly what we payed for.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on August 18, 2016From Ringoes, NJ

They were on time and were flexible as far as set-up. The music was good, however, I expected the musicians who attended to include some that I had previously seen (awesome) on some videos so I felt a little snookered. They must have a small stable of musicians as I was informed late in the game that one I was expecting was not coming but that the musicians were interchangeable but sure about that. Again, the musicians were good but after watching the YouTube videos and playing their songs for months I was a little disappointed. Also, we asked them to play Ashokan Farewell - on their list - and were told they didn't have the sheet music with them.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on August 27, 2012From Bernardsville, NJ

Very professional and accommodating, but there was one huge mistake, although most of the guests may not have noticed. The trio was to perform Schubert’s Ave Maria with a Soprano who preferred the key of Aflat for the BRIDAL PROCESSIONAL. I was very disappointed when the piece begun with one of the musicians in bflat. A totally awkward start, and with an abrupt silence and disruption in the playing, the trio played in the correct key after the soprano began singing. Like I said previously, they were very nice and were very easy to work with, but that mistake will not be forgotten and thus my overall score of 3.5 of an otherwise 5 start group of talent.

:

We are glad that Lenny (friend of the newlyweds) acknowledges the fact that our group was professional and accommodating. Apart from that - we are not sure which incident is described in this feedback. Everything was perfect - we prepared the piece in the desired key, rehearsed it with the vocalist and agreed on all of the details. As per our conversation with the vocalist we made a specific arrangement of the piece and executed it precisely at the right part of the wedding ceremony. Everything went very smoothly - it was a beautiful bridal processional! Everybody was pleased with the outcome and we got numerous compliments from the guests and the bride herself.
