There's a reason for the low marks. The entertainer took ill and that's understandable. He found a last minute replacement but did not perform as expected. Nice enough guy but did not engage the crowd and did not really have any showmanship. I would have been better off with a soft background music for the cocktail hour. I paid top dollars for the entertainment and did not get close to what I expected. Hindsight, I wish I was told the replacement entertainer was not at his level and that I was given the option of being offered my money back. That would have been fair I think.

I am very sorry for your disappointment, however, when I informed you of my illness at the 11th hour. I offered a replacement at that point, you did not pay anything, not even a deposit. You had an opportunity to decline. You didn't. Artists are not the same.

We hired Raymond Charles Band for my husbands 50th we had a Caribbean theme! I cannot begin to tell you how amazing Raymond was!!! He came 1.5 hours prior to set up and make sure all the speakers everything was working. He had so many amazing fun dancing as well as background songs!!! He is so personable and a kind soul. His voice is magical! This may sound l exaggerated but it’s not! He really Made the party! My friends are still talking about him and plan to hire him for their next party!!!! I give you 100 % confidence to go with him!!!! It was the best choice I made! His steel drums and his voice is amazing !!! Thank you Raymond for making the party perfect !

We could not have chosen a better music venue for our party. Raymond Charles was absolutely wonderful and we highly recommend him. He was exactly the perfect match for what were looking for our venue. The music was perfect and so was his performance. He is personable and engaging, having played music requests, played longer then booked for...truly a pleasure. Many people requesting information about him for their venues in the future. We will definitely use him again.

Raymond was amazing! Great music great vocals amazing attitude! He had the whole baby shower dancing and singing! Book him you won’t regret it! He even stayed extra for no cost just for the sake of keeping the party going! A true professional! All the guests called me the next day asking for his info and we have been singing his songs all week!

Morning of my event original booked entertainment canceled. while he did replace himself with 2 other gentlemen I felt the event was never explained to them because I came out of the room to registration where they were set up and reggae with foul language was playing and I has to explain my event was a destination wedding event and this music though bob marleys son was not appropriate.

As far as i understand, there was no foul language. You probably had a problem discerning the 'Caribbean Accent'. sorry about that.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Mr. Charles at our wedding. He arrived early to set-up and played beautifully during our ceremony and cocktail hour. He was responsive, accommodating, and professional from first contact until we shook hands after he was done. I couldn't recommend him any higher, he is a great person to have at any ceremony.

We hired Raymond Charles based on the reviews on Gigmasters. We were not disappointed. His performance really made our wedding reception a special experience. Everyone thought he was great. We knew that he sang, as well as played the steel pan, but we were surprised how well he sang and how much this added to his performance. We give him the highest recommendation.

We had a Caribbean/Jamaican theme for our corporate function. Caribbean Authentics was the perfect compliment to our event. Originally I was merely looking for someone to play steeldrums; however, the vocals were a definite bonus. In addition to being talented and reasonably priced, Raymond Charles was very accommodating beginning with the timing of the event and being responsive to communications. I would gladly book them for another event of this type and highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed!

This event took place in a retirement community and by the end of the gig had everyone up, dancing and doing a conga line. We would highly recommend. Their Repertoire was very large and enjoyable for all in attendance. They get two thumbs up from this end!
