My family was tremendously blessed by Michael Girby’s dynamite talent. He arrived an hour early and was set up before everyone arrived to the funeral. Michael played for an hour straight without any breaks. He set a peaceful atmosphere for the entire family & friends who attended my Great Uncle Percy Lewis Thompson funeral. Mike came to help my wife and I celebrate our 1st anniversary and he made the moment extremely special. Understanding the dangers of covid he respected our house and kept his space during the performance. He played our wedding song and it was the first time I have brought my wife to tears of joy. Mike was AMAZING! I booked him for my partners Bearthday. We did and outside happy hour/picnic. It was cold and windy that night and Mike warmed us with his smooth sounds and his assistance with lighting the fire pit. The music was perfect, he made sure to do a great mix of the songs requested. Mike was ahead of time, prepared, helpful, and gave us words of encouragement for our future. I would definitely recommend Mike, and I will definitely be booking with him again. I was so excited that the evening turned out well. The live music was the cherry on top. My partner felt like we brought the jazz club to him and fully enjoyed the Bearthday serenade!

I hired Mike to provide music prior to our wedding ceremony (as guests entered to set the ambiance of our event) and also to provide background music for our cocktail hour. His talent was exactly what we needed to help set the tone we wanted to create for a holiday wedding and all our guests loved the music he played, which came from a list of songs we curated together. Mike even agreed to stay past the cocktail hour portion to provide live accompaniment for our first father/daughter and mother/son dance, and he cut the tracks together for us! He really went above and beyond to make sure our day was special and exactly what I had envisioned after months of planning.

Mike created a beautiful environment for us to celebrate my grandfathers life during the reception of his funeral. My grandfather was a musician and instrument repair professional all his life.
