"Shine" was perfect! We hired them to perform for my fiancé’s 30th Birthday and had a fabulous time! They played a variety of old school rock-n-roll songs and really kept the crowd entertained! "Shine" made sure to meet our every request and need for dancing and even let some of the boys shake their tambourine! We look forward to hearing them play around town and wish them great success as I know they will certainly achieve! Thanks!

The band was great. The party was for my husband's 50th birthday and he really enjoyed their music. They played a lot of his favorites from the 70's and 80's. I would definitely hire them again!

Shine did an amazing job at our outdoor wedding, and I am still getting rave reviews on my choice of band. They stayed in contact with me in the months leading up to the event, and with abiut six weeks' notice, they learned TWO new songs just for the occasion, for the first dance and the father-daughter dance. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Awesome band! Shine worked with us to put together the perfect Wedding performance from the day we booked them through our entire wedding night! Everyone had a wonderful time and the band even improvised last minute to update the playlist and get everyone on the dance floor. I couldn't have asked for more!

This is the second year that we have used Shine at our annual Oyster Roast, and they only get better and better. They know how to play to a crowd and the crowd loves them. We have had nothing but a positive experience with Shine. I would recommend them to anyone, and I hope to book them again in the future!

Aaron and the band members were awesome. They were very accommodating and flexible. They played for our 40th Class reunion and their music was great! I would highly recommend them. They went above and beyond to make sure that our event was successful and it was! Thank you, Shine!

Book this band!
We did our research before hand to find the best band in the area, and we knew early on it had paid off when we had two separate people come up to us before they even started playing to tell us that they had seen them play before and they were awesome.
Shine brings so much to the wedding experience that a DJ simply cannot. Their interaction with the crowd is awesome and everyone loved that the bassist was wireless and out dancing and playing in the crowd.
Mindy was great to work with and very professional. She went out to dinner with us before and got every single event in place and the MC was flawless.
Could not be more satisfied.

Working with Shine was the best part of wedding planning for me as the Bride...other than dress shopping. I liked using Gigmaster over alternative band searches because I got the chances to see Shine perform and communicate with the Shine directly. Now Shine was great!! Our wedding was in Wilmington and the venue is up 3 flights of stairs and I heard no complaints! Very organized and met with me 3x times prior to get everything organized. The music was wonderful and everyone was dancing nonstop! I wish I could post some pictures because they rocked and got us dancing the whole time! I never left the dance floor not even to go to the bathroom!

We were very impressed with our experience with Shine. They were responsive and professional from the moment we booked them until the end of our event. Our event required a great deal of communication and attention to detail (pre-recordings, special care taken with lyrics of songs, etc) and the band did a great job with all of this. Their talent is absolutely amazing and our crowd enjoyed every song! I highly recommend this band!!

If I could give 10 stars I would! I cannot say enough about Shine. They were amazing and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Aaron and Meredith made me feel so comortable throughout all the preparation and I never had to worry. They played the perfect set of music that kept everyone out on the dance floor. The defining moment for me was when a guest yelled out to me while dancing, "This is SO FUN" and that was everything I wanted. Shine made this happen and I cannot thank them enough!

Our overall experience with Shine was 110% AWESOME! Our wedding was originally supposed to take place all outside, the day of the wedding we had to completely shift everything we had planned to an indoor venue 25 mins from the original location due to Hurricane Matthew. Shine was one of the key vendors that made this transition as smooth as it could be. Mindy was great in organizing everyone, and helping to make sure we were all on track and on time with the planned events (entry, first dances, food, cake, etc) they had almost the entire wedding out on the dance floor all night! We highly recommend Shine to anyone looking for a great band they can trust!

I cannot imagine a better band to hire for my wedding. Supremely organized, helpful, thoughtful, tasteful, and most importantly, excellent musicians!! From reviewing a timeline and set list, clearly communicating and working through reception options, expertly getting the crowd involved, all the way to making sure last names were correct, any bride/groom should feel secure in knowing that no matter what ridiculous things your guests do, Shine will be there to have you covered. Shine Rocks!
We have received a constant stream of compliments for the band from our guests.
When we decided to schedule our wedding on New Years Eve, our greatest fear was that the wedding would peak early in the night. We've all been to such weddings, right? Our greatest hope was that the party would go so smoothly that Midnight would sneak up on us. We were not disappointed - we were blown away!
Mindy is an expert in reading audience dynamics and knowing exactly what song to play to keep the party moving or slow the party down. The whole band worked hard to make our special night a night to remember.
Do not hesitate to hire Shine for your next event!

The band was great. Mindy worked with us to develop a great song list. Because it was a Bar Mitzvah we had young teens to grandparents and everyone was dancing. I had so many compliments about the band. The variety of music was great and quality was great. We loved what they did not only with the line dancing but getting everyone involved with songs like Hey Ho was simply brilliant. Shine learned Hava N'Gila for the party and did a great job. We have another Bar Mitzvah in three years and plan on hiring them again!
