Anniversary PartyReviewed on October 18, 2010From Bolingbrook, IL

The music provided by Stephanie / Quintessential Strings made the party. I would hire Quinessential Strings again in a heart beat.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on August 8, 2010From Green Lake, WI

We booked Ms. Quinn's colleague, Joseph, for our wedding in Green Lake, WI. We booked him because he was much closer than she was. Overall, I was very satisfied with Joe's performance. There were a few small glitches during the ceremony-but realistically, no one noticed those but me. He was very professional and performed without any extra direction, which is exactly what a bride needs on an already stressful day. Thank you Stephanie and Joe for helping make our day perfect!!!!! Wedding CeremonyReviewed on November 20, 2012From Chicago, IL

I was mostly satisfied with the experience but, unfortunately, was not able to hear most of their performance. I was quite disappointed when the spokesperson and planner for the group did not perform at the function. It was this person's credentials that prompted me to select this group originally.

A score of 3 for “handling special requests” is disappointing, a last minute location change from an indoor to a rooftop in high winds, unlit, sub 60 degree weather - one of many violations of our contract. My quartet, shivering, dressed in strapless gowns suffered much. We expected a tip rather than a scathing review 2 months later! I had an emergency - my partner, a renowned violinist led the quartet. Guests stopped the musicians as they left, giving high praises for their performance. At the end of the day, what matters is creating beautiful and flawless music, and we certainly produced exactly what was demanded that evening under very adverse conditions.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on September 6, 2011From Lemont, IL

Overall we were highly disappointed with our experience with Stephanie Quinn. Her emails to solidify the details before the date were very rude and often condescending. She even argued with us on what time to begin and end their performance. During the performance, they were to begin playing Canon when the bridesmaids were walking down the aisle. When she was given the signal, they continued to finish the song they were playing. By this time, one bridesmaid was already to the alter, and the second walked up in complete silence. I'm also no expert, however I and a few other guests heard notes that seemed out of key from time to time. Would NOT recommend.

It was an honor to play Rebecca's ceremony. Unfortunately, due to circumstance beyond my control, the start cue was missed. I've done hundreds of weddings, and never had difficulty with a cue. The wedding party entered from a gate over a football field's distance away from the ceremony. I'm not one to point fingers because that is counterproductive. That being said, I did ask for someone to come by and tap me on the shoulder, when the wedding party was ready. I don't think it was too much to ask, however it didn't happen, and the ceremony didn't turn out as well as it could have. As for my musical capabilities, my YouTube channel speaks for itself.
