Wedding ReceptionReviewed on August 26, 2014From Seattle, WA

Ed Mays Groove Kitchen’s music is full of jazzy delta blues, pop, rock and funk as well, for a sound that is timeless yet modern in it's own way. It’s kind of like stepping back in time, but with the keys to the Porche. This group - is undeniably charming, and undeniably entertaining. Not to mention pretty darn talented. Our guests ranged in all ages, and everyone loved Ed Mays Groove Kitchen. If you want your wedding reception, or whatever event to really "Groove", book this band!

Graduation PartyReviewed on August 10, 2014From Olympia, WA

The group sounded awesome - just what we wanted for the party. Great blues tunes! They were late getting here but made up for it with their music. I would highly recommend them for your party!

:

We are so sorry that we started about 15 minutes late for Anne's party. I always try to get there an extra hour early but this was consumed by stop and go traffic which I realize now I should have planned for. Luckily, I was able to get the PA and drums set up in time but the other members arrived a little bit after me. This is a subject that will need to be addressed in future planning. Setting up at the last minute is not enjoyable for me and I'm quite certain clients feel the same.

Really an enjoyable set of songs, appealing to the many generations at the party. A great collection of talented musicians for sure!

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on August 4, 2013From Snoqualmie, WA

Ed was easy to work with. Wonderful performers. Stacy did a beautiful job singing "At Last" to the newlyweds during their wedding dance. We had a fabulous time! Our guests, young and old alike, just danced, danced, danced and loved the band. I would definitely hire them again! Thank you, Ed Mays Groove Kitchen!

Retirement PartyReviewed on July 30, 2013From Gig Harbor, WA

Ed is so easy to work with. His experience with the music industry is so obvious. He has the resources to make anything you want happen. Besides he is also fantastic on the drums, what a nice mellow guy. The total band and singer Stacy were exactly perfect for us, the took some familiar stuff and jazzed it up a bit. We had many dancing to their fine music. We would use them in a heart beat if we had the need. Love them.

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on April 15, 2013From Marysville, WA

The entre event was amazing! I, personally, could have done a better job preparing for the bands needs, but everyone stepped up and helped with the alternate plan. Thank you Ed, Stacey, Yogi and the entire group for making our VIP Birthday a success.

We would not recommend this group to anyone. I have emailed Ed directly about our concerns and what happened at our event.

:

Hello Terry, It won't do me any good to apologize again for the way Mikel acted at your party. I have already explained it as best I could in several emails. When I booked your event, it was already a little bit late notice and I got Jim and Mikel to do a trio for the price. As I told you, in addition to Mikel's drinking too much, it's clear that he was having some kind of episode. As I said, I have never seen him act like that before. I did the best I could to get him under control but I'm not a doctor. I understand why you're upset but I did the best I could under the circumstances and your ratings of the talent etc. are simply not true. What happened has nothing
