In the end, Mariachi Azteca de Oro was fabulous, but the road to our wedding wasn't without hiccups... our original check was said to have been lost by the band leader, but it had actually been cashed and the communication level was non-existent for a while there (after many failed attempts to contact them over a matter of weeks, we weren't sure if they were going to remember to show up and we felt the need to contact GigMasters and inquire about a "guarantee" policy). However, in the end, everything worked itself out and they were more than we had expected - professional, on time, and full of talent. I would definitely hire them again!

We thoroughly enjoyed the trio from Mariachi Azteca de Oro (there are many more members to the band). They played, had their pictures taken with lots of our members and led the "parade" when we moved from the reception area to the dinner area (all outdoor venues). During dinner, they serenaded individual tables and had people singing with them. The music was great, the guys were wonderful, talented and friendly. Everyone loved them - and they were perfect for our combination cocktail reception/dinner.

While we were satisfied with the performance it was not quite what we expected. We booked Fidel Amador's Mariachi Azteca group. We got a five-piece Mariachi group but Fidel did not appear to be among them. I asked which one was was Fidel and they looked at each other with looks of non-comprehension. Nor did the group know the names of their fellow performers. I checked out the YouTube posting of Fidel Amador's group. I did not see anything which would lead me to believe Fidel was in attendance performing in disguise. If you book this group you need to ensure that you get the group you booked. It appears that the group was cobbled together at the last minute.

The band was great. Very talented and accomodating. The band leader had a very commanding voice adn was very personable. They really got the party going. Everyone real came to life when they started. They played "for all the girls I've loved before" for me and several other requests from a good variety of themes. I thought they were fantastic.
