The Uptown Band was amazing! They were on time, all dressed to the nines, incredibly talented, professional and with a wide range of music to ramp up the party - cocktail music, jazz, recent hits etc. We loved the multiple instruments played - horns, sax, keyboard, guitars and let's not forget their incredible voices. They were also very engaging with our attendees making it not only great to listen to but also fun for everyone to get involved. I would hire them again in a second! I actually hope to be back in the area in the future to do such!

LOVE The Uptown Band!!
Could not be more satisfied with how perfect they made our wedding! Everyone loved them! The whole planning process was handled so smoothly. Any questions we had were answered almost immediately! Erich was very helpful and as a busy bride helped me to remember the moments I wouldn't have thought of on my own!

AMAZING! If you are looking for a great band... not just a run of the mill wedding band, hire Erich Cawalla and the Uptown Band. We heard from a lot of guests both during and after the wedding how amazing they thought the band was. We opted for 2 horns instead of one horn because of the song we chose for our first dance, and wow was it worth it! Honestly, we expected them to be a great band based on all the reviews, and they went above and beyond our expectations, it was the best band we had ever heard at a wedding. The whole experience in working with Erich Cawalla was great, and he was more than accomodating... the uptown band MADE my wedding phenomenal Thanks

When we decided to have a band for our daughter's Nov. 8, 2008 wedding, we checked with Gigmaster and found out about the Uptown Band. We were anxious about selecting a band. However, once we came in contact with Erich Cawalla, our concerns were quickly relieved.
Erich worked with us in order to see the Uptown Band perform. After we heard the band, our minds were made up! Erich worked with us to create a lovely, fun and exciting evening for the bride and groom, as well as, all the guests.Erich quickly responded to our phone calls and emails. Erich and the Uptown Band are extremely talented, accomodating and friendly. I stronly recommend the Uptown Band!

Erich, Jennifer, & the Uptown Band were absolutely amazing for my daughter's wedding. Their music is current with a variety that fits every genre and decade. The instrumentation, musical arrangements, and vocals were suburb. Erich's talent surpasses all of those that I've heard over the years. His vocals are incredible and his sax playing is just amazing. His versatility as a performer is second to none. Erich taylors his musical selections to the desires of the guests making for an incredible experience. He gets the party started and the energy continues until the evening is finished. This band is fantastic and will make your event memorable.

The Uptown Band Feat. Erich Cawalla & Jenifer Kinder performed at our wedding reception in April. They were wonderful!! We have received so many compliments about them, and all of our guests have told us how much they enjoyed their music and how much fun they had. The band was professional and very accomodating to our requests. It was a pleasure to work with Erich, coordinating the evening's events. It is a true pleasure to recommend the Uptown Band. You will not find an easier or more dedicated band to work with. Erich and I hit it off from the start. He listened to everything we wanted and provided his professional opinion for what would work best for our wedding. He provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception flawlessly. My husband and I loved every minute/every song. It was just perfect! Everyone danced! My guests raved how great the band was - not too loud - not too thumpy - very entertaining and they were blown away by Jennifer's voice and the musical talent of the guys. It was the best day ever! The Uptown Band exceeded our already high expectations. The band leader Erich was always available for any questions before the event and left no doubts for our big day. When he found out we weren't having any music for our outdoor cocktail hour, he even offered to set up a speaker and play soft jazz music - his treat! We can't say enough about the Uptown Band's talent, professionalism and fun! If you want an incredible night of music, there's no one better.

Uptown band impressed us by how very helpful, accommodating and flexible they were. And although they sounded good on the website, in person they are even better and far exceeded our expectations. We warned them that we had a very lively dance crowd, and they were more than up for the challenge. They read the crowd and matched the energy the entire evening. Our guests were extremely impressed by their musical talent, and they were a joy to listen to and interact with.
If we were getting married again, we'd go with them in a heartbeat. You won't find a better band than this, and you can't beat their price.

The Uptown Band was absolutely fabulous. Even though the food was exceptional, the accommodations by the personnel at the venue were outstanding; we received more compliments on the band than any other aspect of the wedding reception. From the cocktail hour through every event that occurs during a wedding reception, Erich was an absolute professional and the band was tremendous. The instruments and the vocals were second to none and a special kudos to Jenifer whose voice is just incredible.

My wife and I hired the Uptown Band to play our wedding reception. They learned our first dance song and a song that I played with the band for my wife. I spoke with Erich often leading up to the event and he made sure that all the details were organized for our big day. They were extremely talented and impressed everybody at the party. People were dancing even before dinner. This band is worth every penny and I would hire them again without hesitation. Book them early!

THE BEST band we have ever experienced at any reception whether wedding or otherwise. Every single guest of all ages (18 to 80) that came up to us after the wedding said that the band was the best they have ever seen. They are more than a typical wedding band – they are true performers. Erich was very easy to work with over the months before the wedding and we were impressed at how well they learned and performed our first dance. Both singers have great voices and the whole band was made up of great musicians. Thank you again Erich, Jennifer and the rest of the band – you all were amazing and made the night better than we could have ever hoped for.

We were happy to find the perfect band for our wedding. They really kept the party on the dance floor (even skipping a set break) and appealed to a diverse crowd. Erich did a great job as MC and kept the flow moving with music. We gave them some speical song requests just a few days before the wedding and they were able to perform them with ease. They have a great sound, and are very professional and easy to work with. This was one of the best investments we made for our special day! We highly reccomend working using the Uptown Band for your event, you will be completely satified when it's over.

The Uptown Band was fabulous at our wedding. We were in frequent contact with Erich over the past year, and he was always very accomodating and flexible to all of our requests to make our special day as perfect as possible. We had a blast dancing and singing along to the music at the wedding, and heard from numerous guests that it was the most fun they had at any wedding. I would highly recommend them for any event, they really went over and above our expectations... and even did an encore performance at the request of all our guests!!

Erich and the rest of the Uptown Band were great to work with. He was extremely organized which made the music part of our wedding planning stress-free. He was extremely accommodating to any requests we had, including playing an exact song list we gave him and the atmosphere at the reception was just what we were looking for.
