Great communication from start to finish (above and beyond expectation). Mike played our marina party with his reggae band "the tropics" it was a sunrise party and they were good sports and showed up on time (7a.m.) and were very professional and fun. They really had the talent and look of a great reggae band. They really worked the crowd with fun sing along songs. They had a great mix of music and played all our requests. Highly recommend Mike and the tropics. I know they will be back to the Chain O' lakes very soon to entertain us again!

I'm pretty sure Mike Dangeroux and his band made our wedding reception! For months after and even still now, we get told that our reception was the best and most fun our guests have ever attended. It is in no doubt in part because of the talent and entertainment delivered from the stage. Dora's voice is amazing and Mike's talent on the guitar is thrilling. The dance floor was packed all night and elder guests who normally would have left earlier were found hanging around the edge of tent watching the entertainment with smiles on their faces. There is just something about live music from a band like this; it grabs you and makes you FEEL the celebration.

There are two types of performers. Those who play music, and those who know how to play for a party and entertain. Mike is the second type, not only did he and his band know a variety of songs and play some great hits, they knew how to work with audience members and put on a great show.
Will book him and his team again for future concerts, and would give a very strong recommendation for anyone looking for a star performer for their show.

I am from South Florida and hired Mike over the internet for my mother's surprise birthday party in Chicago. I was concerned about hiring a band "sight unseen" so to speak but had no other options. Mike was always prompt in answering emails, called and confirmed a few days before the party. Needless to say, Mike Dangeroux and his band were GREAT! Everyone loved them and a number of people were asking me for their contact information. They seemed to gauge the energy of the party to find just the right songs to play to "get the party started." The only setback is that it all seemed to end too soon. In the future, I will have to hire them for 6 instead of 3 hours.

Mike got the party started! My friends and family were on the dancefloor from the minute they swallowed their last bite of cake until the reception ended (including some family who I did not think would even get on the dancefloor!). As many others have commented, Mike is extremely responsive by phone and email, and he had great suggestions for me when I was unsure of some decisions for the timeline of the evening. The whole band was very talented and maintained high energy throughout their performance. I would definitely recommend them!

Mike Dangeroux was great! Everyone enjoyed the band, we had guests grabbing the microphone and signing so they were very accomodating and we were so happy we picked them. His response to our emails and calls was very prompt and helpful in planning our event. I would definitely recommend them!

We got a lot of positive feedback from our guests about how great it was to have live music, and about how wonderful the band was. They were able to figure out what made our crowd dance and kept the party going. They were friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed working with them.

Mike was professional, responded to email/phone promptly, was easy to work with, and he was flexible working with the demands of our event (we needed two sets of music - steel drum/beach for the first set and rock/dance music for the second). He configured the band one way for the first set, and he swapped in another musician for the second set. Most importantly, the crowd loved the band in both sets! The band has high quality musicians and sound. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

If you are serious about having a good time at your event, BOOK THIS BAND. They played our December 11th wedding and I cannnot say enough great things about Mike Dangeroux. We have lot of crazy rock and roll fans in our family and they are hard to please, but our guests cannot stop talking about how great the music was! Mike played a mix of rock and roll, reggae, and motown songs that pleased everyone, from teens to grandmas - the dance floor was absolutely packed all night. Mike was easy to contact and very professional and independent when setting up and tearing down - the music at our wedding was absolutely flawless! He learned several songs for us too!

This band is bar none the best band that I have ever experienced. I can't even begin to describe how good they were....you have to see it and hear it to believe it. We booked Mike for our reception and we had a wide range of age groups from 20's to 70's and they rocked it! They were interactive and had everyone on the dance floor.....the guests are still talking about how good they were. This band made the night a total success! Thanks to Mike and his crew....you guys are a class act and highly recommended!

Amazing performers!!! Everyone loved the band. My dad, who has never danced in his life, was even out on the dance floor having a ball. One of our vendors commented that he had never seen so many people on the dance floor for such a long period of time! Seriously, great band, great performance... I only wish our wedding was longer!!

I ‘M A STEEL DRUM MUSIC FAN, BUT WAS A LITTLE AFRAID OUR GUESTS MIGHT NOT APPRECIATE 3 HOURS OF THAT TYPE OF MUSIC. THE RANGE OF MUSIC THAT HIS BAND PLAYED WAS FANTASTIC. SWEET HOME CHICAGO WAS SECOND TO NONE! NOT YOUR TYPICAL WEDDING, BACKYARD PARTY BAND. MORE LIKE AN ACT ALONG WITH A CELEBRITY BAND. THIS BAND CAN PLEASE ANY CROWD. This performer promised to learn new songs specifically for our wedding and indicated he would be there (as the lead of this band. He did not show up -His band came but they did not have the song list and had minimal knowledge of the promises made. The band was over 20 minutes late for the start of their contract and they brought a full bar of alcohol even thought the contract explicitly said no drinking. They played incorrect songs for dances. We incurred a great deal of stress due to this band. I would not recommend this band, and I am contacting the band to seek compensation for the insufficient meeting of the contracted terms. Mike and the band were phenomenal! We had the a fabulous time dancing at our reception, as did all of our guests. Mike was nothing but a reasonable, accommodating professional from the time we put a bid in to book the gig through the time he and the band packed up their instruments at the end of the night.

I planned my Chicago wedding from Los Angeles. I wasn't able to go hear bands play or take the time to get demos All of the band's demos are online and accessible, and I truly could not have picked a greater band for my wedding. ALL of our guests danced from the first dance until the very end of the night. My mom's fiancee wants to fly them all out to Vegas to play at his wedding. They were very professional, the singers were amazingly talented, and the musicians were fantastic. I'm a performer by trade, so my expectations and standards are high, and I couldn't have been more impressed. They are great people who know how to rock out and have a good time.
