Jason was excellent. He was prompt and willing to work within the parameters of the location as we had some rain. Everyone loved the music and felt that it really set the mood for the party. We all wished he could have stayed longer but he had a prior commitment. Highly recomend Jason and would like to see him perform at another party of mine or one of our friends.

We had a wonderful time thanks to the Tropical sounds of Jason Roseman and the Tropical Gems. They provided the "Island Feel" we were looking for at our Island Fiesta! Jason was also great at getting the children involved with tropical themed games. I would highly recommend them and will definately use them again.

Tropical Gems has a really fine, smooth sound, shifting back and forth between mellow and adrenaline pumping. We wanted them to provide a Caribbean atmosphere at our Pirates Ball, and they were perfect. I can't say enough good things about Jason Roseman - great musician and band leader, a master at creating audience rapport, and a really nice person to work with. What a pleasure. Thanks, Jason.

We hired Jason to perform at our annual event with "An Island Adventure" theme. He was the perfect addition to our day. With over 500 guests in attendance, Jason's steel drumming provided entertainment and serenity to a crowd that included many adults with developmental disabilites. I especially liked that he allowed curious onlookers (children and adults) the chance to try out his drum!
Jason was also very accomodating, having to work around an awards ceremony and sweepstakes drawing. I would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a steel drummer.

He was on time to set up and ready to play for the event. His manner was very professional and his dress was clean and tidy. All of the guests loved him and the music.
My wedding was on the rainiest day this summer and his music definitely lightened the atmosphere and made people not focus on how wet it was outside of the tent. I will definitely use him again.

Jason Roseman and the Tropical Gems performed at my daughter's wedding in Newport on Friday, May 19, 2006. We had such a good time! I found Jason and the band members to be highly professional and extremely talented. More than that, their presence was a wonderful addition to our party. My friends have been calling all weekend to tell me what a wonderful time they had and how much they enjoyed the music! We danced all night.

We just got married at the Popponessett Inn on Cape Cod, on 4-22-06. WE hired just Jason Roseman solo to play- and he far exceeded our expectations!
He was extremely accomodating. He played for longer than a typical set in order to accomodate our dinner times, and coordinating with the DJ. In addition, he was always accessible for questions through e-mail, and was pleasant to deal with.
I can't say enough about his performance. He really helped us capture the ambiance we were going for, and he played La Isla Bonita- my favorite Madonna song. The song choices were a perfect mix for the crowd, and the venue!
We'd like to have another party- just to have him play!
Thanks so much Jason for making our wedding so special!!

Jason was able to take my ideas for my wedding & reception and make them reality. He and his band worked with my wedding planner and was able to iron out any issues about the event making it better than I could have imagined. Two years ago, my husband said that he wanted a Steel Drum player for his 50th birthday party. Jason Roseman was exactly what he had in mind. The music was very relaxing and helped to create an enjoyable atmosphere for the party. Many of the guests commented on how wonderful the music was. Working with Jason was great. Jason took part in our surprise wedding on December 4, 2004 and he was magnificent. He was extremely accomodating, due to the fact that most of the ceremony was shooting from the hip and not really planned out. It was a wonderful summer night...the stars were out and we had several friends gathered. It would have been a less than ordinary party wothout the festive sounds of Jason and the Tropical Gems! EVERYONE loved them...they set a fun mood and made people comfortable. There was dancing and laughing and the party became memorable because of thier talents. These guys were so relaxed and professional that I just enjoyed my own party as if I were a guest and they played right to the end despite threatening weather, that approached at the nights end. I just wish I could throw another party like this in the winter - just for a FEEL of summer!!! They are wonderful! Treat yourself!

I can't say enough about Jason Roseman, He was Phenomenal!
We hired Jason (accompanied by a guitarist) to play during the coctail hour of our Carribbean themed post-wedding reception. That day was a bit stressful for me, I was doing most of the decorating and unfortunately I was running behind. So much so, that I arrived 40 mins late to my own cocktail hour. To top it off, the chef told us that dinner was also running a 1/2 hour late. I aked my husband to see is Jason could stay a little longer then originally planned. As it turned out my husband never had to ask. Jason sensed that there was a bit of a delay and just kept on playing until our dinner was ready. He is a true profesional. I have to say it was the most enjoyable time of the night for me. It brought me back to Jamaica, where my Husband and I were married.
Jason was a huge hit, Everyone loved them! Absolutely loved them!!!!
I can't wait to have another event where I can hire Jason and all of his Tropical Gems.
