Without a doubt, one of the best parts of our wedding reception last August was having Ted and his band come up to from Brooklyn. We stumbled upon his listing here and couldn't have been more pleased with the timeliness, accommodation, and professionalism he and his crew showed throughout the event. The band played longer than our agreed upon time, which was great! When asked why, the answer was; "When we're playing to people who appreciate the music, we get into it too!". It is obvious Ted loves his genre and the craft of making music. Were we to do it again, we wouldn't change a thing!

As a professional composer and musician it was important to me for our wedding music to be something special. The idea of a DJ or bad pop covers was out of the question. I'm admittedly a bit of a snob when it comes to music - it's my job.
The Ted Hefko band was just what we were looking for: fun, energetic, laid-back, and danceable. These are real musicians that live and breathe music and - it shows. Many guests gave us their unsolicited opinions of the music: "the best music at any wedding, and one of the best live bands they'd seen."
If you're like me and can't stomach the idea of what normally passes for acceptable Wedding music give Ted a call.

Ted and his band were great from the first listen, through the planning stages and the actual wedding performance. Everyone loved them and could not have had a better time at our ceremony and cocktail hour. They made our ceremony unique and everyone noticed it. They are awesome musicians that sound great no matter what style of music they are playing. My wife and I want to hire them for all our future parties!

We cannot say enough good things about Ted's band. Throughout the wedding planning process, Ted was very accomodating; he quickly responded to all correspondence and was happy to learn any special requests. Ted consistently got everyone out on the dance floor with an ecclectic mix of styles. There was a great mix of slow and fast dance songs, and he included every song we had asked for.
We cannot recommend the Ted Hefko Band highly enough--they were crucial in carrying off a reception that was tailored to our taste and yet enjoyed by all of our guests. We are still getting compliments on the band two weeks later!

Ted Hefko's New Orleans Band was fantastic at my wedding! From the very beginning, Ted was extremely professional. He was amenable to special requests and I felt like the band was one thing I wasn't going to have to worry about. I was absolutely thrilled with the performance and would recommend him for any gig where you want a good mix of both traditional and modern music.

These guys are AWESOME. Musically, they are extremely talented and have unbelievable range. We asked them to play instrumental jazz for a cocktail hour and then transition into more upbeat material with vocals as the party got going. And they nailed it. Moreover, they were very receptive to our requests as far as crafting a setlist and learning a few new songs. And great guys on top of that - everyone loved them. Very professional as well. Would highly recommend!

Pretty much blew any expectations we could have had for a perfect band for our wedding out of the water. This group of musicians are amazing. Ted is beyond talented, and an awesome person to work with. Planning was completely stress free, and the performance was commented on by pretty much everyone in attendance. No words for how highly we recommend booking this band (and seeing them at one of their shows in NYC!)

Ted and the band were amazing, providing exactly the New Orleans jazz sound we were looking for for our wedding brunch. They went out of their way to learn new songs for the reception as we requested, and even recommended some great songs for our ceremony. I almost want to throw another party to have them play again!

I was looking for a unique jazz trio to entertain during my cocktail reception and found exactly what i was looking for when i first went to listen to Ted Hefko perform. The trio performed the style of music i wanted to hear, and managed to perform the songs i requested as well.
My guests, especially my mother, loved them. they added the perfect touch to my special day.

Ted was wonderful and accomodating from the start. His performance was absolutely perfect, and my guests could not stop talking about him and his fellow bandmate. No one could believe that I found them "online"! I would book Ted again for any event. He was an excellent and talented performer, and easy to work with. He made our wedding wonderful.

From our initial wedding planning through the event itself, Ted collaborated in a most helpful way. We were particularly impressed by Ted's invovlement in researching and identifying a wonderful selection of classical pieces to play during our ceremony. Later, Ted and his band entertained our guests with a variety of jazz, New Orleans, and dance music that had the everyone bopping right until the end. We were all impressed with Ted's friendly professional manner, stage presence and versatile talent. We felt that music was the most important element of our wedding, and thanks to the Ted Hefko Jazz Band, we had a truly wonderful and memorable event!
