Although we booked and confirmed in May, for our event on 8-23-08 Johnny apparently decided to take a better offer and notified us on August 7th just 2 weeks before our event that he had a problem and wouldn't be able to show up. I will give him credit for putting me in contact with another entertainer who was able to accommdate us at such a late date otherwise I don't have anything at all good to say. I will not use gigmasters again and I certainly won't recommend him to anyone. You need to add zero's to your rating system

He was great, all enjoyed. Just a quick suggestion, that he advise (if going to a private home) that he advises how much 'sound equipment' that he has, so they can be 'ready' and have more space alloted for such items. I hope that he felt he had enought space. He was just GREAT!!! Johnny was very nice, easy to work with and did a wonderful show. Thank you millions to him. I wish him luck and would have him again.

Very professional & pleasant especially for photos & autographs. Some guests thought the act was a little "cheesy" but we were a small group of mostly younger people & no drinking...in a back yard- so that was probably difficult from a performer's standpoint. But the surprised groom had a blast,and that's all that counts!

Accommodating, friendly and fun! Difficult to get ahold of prior to the event, but such is the norm in the business. Day of her was there, ready to go and we had a great time! He performed as Elvis (which unfortunately I missed much of due to taking wedding pictures...my only complaint is I didn't get a picture with him in his Elvis attire!) and then stayed and DJ'ed for us, which was AWESOME!! Thanks so much!

He was 35 minutes late, took over 30 minutes to set up and seemed dissatisfied with the attention he was getting. While the "cheesy ness" of his performance was fun, he seemed bored and did not really sound like "Elvis".

Johnny Reno's performance at my party was disappointing. His performance was lackluster, and he seemed like he just wanted to get the event over with and leave. He was scheduled to be at our party at 8 p.m., and when I called two weeks prior to confirm his appearance he told me he had scheduled another performance for 6 p.m. at an event 100 miles away, and asked if we could postpone his appearance at our party until 8:30, which we agreed to. I figured he knew his limitations, and that such an ambitious itinerary was not a problem for him. To his credit he did show up on time, but it seemed like perhaps he was exhausted from his 245-mile roundtrip drive (his words)and performance at the other event, which would explain his dull performance at my house. Johnny performed on a raised deck in my small back yard, and for a large portion of his performance his voice could not be heard even though all the guests were within 20 feet. My girlfriend and I (the birthday girls and hostesses of the party) had to get on stage and get involved in the act because it was obvious the crowd was getting bored and impatient with his gig and was throwing a wet blanket on the party, which had been in full swing when he arrived. I have hired lots of performers for singing telegrams before, and they were much more fun and had much more interaction with the crowd than did Johnny. I would hesitate to recommend him to your clients.

Actually, I'm quite shocked at the feedback. I was hired for a singing telegram and I explained that consists of me and a guitar and 2-3 songs. A telegram is for the recipient and not for a crowd of 40-50 or more people which would have required at least minimum sound system with a disc player for the background tracks, an amp/mixer, microphone, and a couple of speakers. The client had requested 3 songs which I performed, and then I did 3 extra songs as they requested once I was there, plus I posed for pictures with several of the guests, and gave the two birthday girls a silk scarf each. He didn't perform the songs I requested. He took it upon himself to make it a comedy show because he said the songs I chose were too slow for the crowd. He got a few laughs out of it and that was ok but my dad was still waiting to hear his songs and was disappointed which left me disappointed as well

Other than Johnny being 30 minutes late to prep before the surprise birthday party, his performance was a success for my group of 30. He was responsive in the pre-event call and emails, entertained all with equal attention and the Elvis scarves and photo he gave were nice mementos!
