Eva was absolutely wonderful! She played beautifully and really made our ceremony very special. Everyone who attended our wedding raved about how well she played and how beautiful the wedding ceremony was and her playing definitely added a very special touch to our ceremony. I would definitely recommend her. Her fee was very reasonable, she was very professional, and her performance was wonderful.

Eva Murphy was GREAT to work with before the wedding. However on the wedding not so much. She told us she had performed at the Botanical Garden many times, yet couldn't get in and was very late. When she arrived she gave everyone attitude, she didn't play during ceremony when she was suppose to nor afterwards as long as she was supposed to. So my rating is based off of the actual wedding day not meeting prior. She sounds great in her house, but I was very very upset with how the music turned out. Having the harp outside in a beautiful garden was suppose to be jaw dropping and it wasn't.

:

My only response: “I’m stunned”. Yes, the Garden personnel failed to unlock the usual gate for harpists in time, and the security dept. failed to answer the phone as I called from the gate repeatedly.I was over an hour early, and I called you to apprise you of the situation, not to make an excuse. Finally, I flagged down a random Parks worker who found someone with a key,and I was able to start the music early, even though for an unknown reason, the ceremony began late. After your guests departed, I continued to play for the remaining birds and squirrels in the park,as the people were gone. You and I smiled from afar & waved goodbye to each other as you were taking photos

She is very talented and made the wedding magical. The only concern I had was that she was difficult to get into touch with right before the wedding and I grew nervous, but we finally talked the week of and pulled everything together. Overall five stars!!!

Katie, Your wedding was indeed beautiful! I loved every moment. I totally understand that the day before your wedding you had a lot going on, and you wanted me to respond to a last minute request. Admittedly, as I reminded you in advance, I was on a cruise (the only one I’ve ever taken) two weeks before your wedding, and my phone reception at sea was horrible. I called you right away when we returned to port, fully a week before the wedding and you sounded so relieved when we spoke! I was glad that there was enough lead time for me to research and provide you the special song you thought of so close to your wedding day.All the best to both of you for a wonderful life

We did not use Eva Murphy

:

Cami, I was so surprised that you reviewed my services! We talked on the phone, and prior to the date of our scheduled meeting in my home, you called to tell me that a relative insisted upon performing for your ceremony, instead of hiring my services.Since you were able to so quickly notify me of this so far in advance of your wedding date, you met the requirements for a full refund of your deposit, which I promptly sent to you, and you verified receipt of those funds.Since you posted a review, I am guessing that Gigmasters was repeatedly asking you to submit a review and you did that so they would stop sending you reminders.Sadly, his rating is unusually low for me.

She was hard to contact, attended our rehersal but did not speak to anyone. Even though she could play nice, her attitude was disgusting and we were both very dissatisfied. Would not hire or recommend her again.

:

Liz, it broke my heart to see this.Ordinarily, I book weddings in advance, and couples come to my home to meet me and select their music in person.I understand that your wedding was planned last minute, with no time to spare.I was glad I had time available to play for your wedding. The rehearsal was confusing because everyone arrived at once and the event planner only talked you through it,as a group, very fast.Honestly, everyone was dressed so casually and it was so hurried that I had a hard time figuring out who you were, then you left suddenly. The wedding ceremony was quick, with no chance to visit.Realistically, I was never even got to meet you or your wedding party.

Very talanted and also an overall very nice person to work with. Played beautifully and I would definitely request her at another event as well. Only thing I would say is that email responses were a little slow but she did follow up. Other than that one tiny thing she was awesome! Thank you Eva!

Nicole, I loved playing at Longview Farmhouse for your unforgettable, unique wedding!I know there are heaps of details that all need to mesh together to make your dream a reality. At the time of your wedding, I was still a school teacher(I have since stopped that, and I now focus on weddings).I had advised you when we met that I would be unable to respond to emails during the school day,and I could only do so after school hours. It’s got to be frustrating when you are trying to iron out details with multiple wedding vendors and you have to wait a few hours for one person’s response.I’m glad everything worked out and your wedding plans went so beautifully. All the best!
