I don't think I could recommend Robert enough! We were from out of town and trying to hire a piper for my Father in law's memorial at Arlington and Robert was absolutely perfect for the event. From understanding the proper procedures of the event to being able to recommend appropriate music for the time periods that were allowed -- he was exactly what we needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Bob was the perfect addition to my dear friend’s funeral. His talent and professionalism were evident from the start, and his accommodating nature made the entire process seamless. Despite the solemn occasion, his cheerful demeanor brought comfort to everyone in attendance. The family was incredibly appreciative, and guests are still talking about how moving and memorable his performance was. It had ALWAYS been the request of my mother to be 'piped to her grave'. When it eventually came time to honor her wish, the web site made it easy to find Robert. He, in turn, made her final rite of passage calming and beautiful - just as she had wished it to be. THANK YOU!!!!

We loved having Bob at our wedding. He was so easy to work with and accommodating. It was so special having the small pipes at our event as it’s a tradition in my family. Highly recommend!

Usually, I play the Highland bagpipes for outdoor ceremonies, but being completely surrounded by the colonial buildings demanded a more gentle sound. The small pipes were the perfect at this venue.

Thank you for the opportunity to play at St. Anthony's Shrine and the Grotto of Elizabeth of Seton. It was surreal. I felt like I was playing in the Largest Shrine in the World under the wide open skies.

Robert is a professional. He listened to what we wanted and made some suggestions that were far better than our original plan. He demonstrated flexibility as the event went on. On his own initiative, he worked with the sound engineer for the large band, that would be playing later in the evening, to diffuse the point source of his bagpipe so that the sound was more even for all of the guests to enjoy. We look forward to engaging him another time.

Robert Mitchell has given my family a priceless gift. At the end of my Dad's celebration of life, his rendition of Amazing Grace brought tears to our eyes and filled our hearts with joy. Robert is a very nice man who made a point of coming early to get the lay of the land and practice, he was very professional.

Thank you for your Review. When a bagpiper arrives at a dinner, wedding, or even a funeral it is necessary to play the instrument for a few minutes beforehand to stabilize the 4 reeds. Each reed will have its own temperature and moisture level needed for optimum sound. This blowing in period is necessary for the very best sound and is often mistaken for "practice". I practice daily at home, and always tune my instrument in order to deliver the very best sound possible. Robert Mitchell
