We wanted a "wedding singer" & we got one! We mean that with the utmost respect and charm. Don't hesitate to invite Reality Check to your upcoming wedding. Our family and friends raved about them during the reception & continue to talk about them today. They are incredibly talented musicians & don't lack in professionalism! Jeff provided top notch service & recommendations. He rolled with the punches - never skipping a beat. Not only was the live music amazing, but having Jeff as an emcee was just perfect. He kept things on track, but didn't overpower the event by talking a lot. He let the wedding be all about us. :-) Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I hired Jeff Brown and Reality Check for my daughters vineyard wedding. From our first conversation, I was impressed with Jeff's professionalism and adaptability to our needs. He provided all our ceremony and reception music, including amplification, D.J. and live band. He communicated with us often throughout the planning process and accommodated all our requests. He was extremely organized and fair with his billing and payment process. On top of all of that the music and especially the band was fantastic and possibly the highlight of my daughters wedding.

This band was amazing, so perfect for a wedding, especially one of people who love rock music and love to dance. They sounded amazing, so much energy and renditions of classic songs were spot on. They were also all so nice and fun to work with. They let my husband and I play a couple songs, and tailored the music selections exactly to our preferences. Jeff the DJ/MC/band leader was so great to work with, responded to emails/calls promptly, so detail oriented and handled every request, even last minute changes - he was a great MC with the announcements, kept everything flowing right on time. Thank you Reality Check for making this the funnest wedding ever!

I hired Reality Check for my wedding. We had a relatively low budget for live music, and I have to admit I was a little skeptical about a 3-man-band, especially at their great price. But...
THEY ROCKED THE HOUSE! I got married at the LA Arboretum on Oct. 5 and we could not have been happier with their performance. They kept the majority of 200 guests on the dance floor ALL NIGHT and everyone raved about them.
They also provided the PA equipment and Jeff (lead singer/guitarist) did solo playing during the ceremony. I'm pretty picky about music and overall sound and he did a GREAT job with everything.
9 very enthusiastic thumbs up for an awesome band.

Reality Check was great at our wedding! They kept in touch with us throughout the whole process and were so easy to reach when we had any questions. They are very reliable, helpful and professional. We were running a bit behind of schedule on the day of and they were so flexible and nice about everything, even staying and playing after what we had originally planned. They played the type of music we were looking for and were great at announcing the father daughter dance, etc., not cheesy or corny at all, and actually made a few jokes which was great. The music was great and we were so happy that we chose them. Great experience!

We had such a great time, listening to music and dancing. Our alumni group ranged from ages 40 up to 80 years old. But Jeff did a great job preparing for our reunion, and choosing the right songs for us. Bravo!

Reality Check rocks! I would pay to hear them outside of a private event. Their sound, dynamic performance, and presentation of 80's hits were right on the mark. If you closed your eyes and were told the band was in front of you playing your favorite hit, you would believe it with your whole heart. Can't say enough about Reality Check. They were 2nd only to the bride as being the best part of our wedding reception. Each band member takes on vocals which increases the high quality of their performance. The guitar riffs were right on. Reality Check outstanding band. The best!

We absolutely. "LOVE" this band. They were on-time, respectful, so easy going and really engaged the crowd. They produced a fabulous show experience for our audience. In fact, one team member is considering them for a wedding. I have my fingers crossed for them :)

These guys are pure awesomeness. They rocked out for my wedding reception in Santa Monica and were amazing. Everybody loved them: they played together beautifully and had everyone on their feet dancing the whole time. They have great voices and are exceptional at their respective instruments. I'm a musician myself, tunes are a huge part of my life and I know great music when I hear it - Reality Check is the real deal!

If there was a score of 10 on overall talent, then I would rate Reality Check with a perfect 10! The vocals and overall talent of the the musicians was recognized by all my guests! They pumped up my crowd with great music, and were incredibly accommodating to my wedding program and its interruptions. I would most definitely recommend this band to anyone looking for lively and talented band!

Reality Check played for our work event and their enthusiasm and talent convinced a ballroom full of scientists to jump around on the dance floor for 2 hours. I'd highly recommend them to anyone for weddings/house parties/anything. I wish I'd known about them 2 years ago for my own wedding!!

So glad we hired Reality Check to perform at our wedding! We dealt with Jeff in all the planning, and he had great communication. We also had Jeff provide sound amplification for our outdoor ceremony. He arrived early to set up and test out the equipment. We had two wireless microphones and a wired microphone on a stand for our soloist. I think our guests appreciated being able to hear our vows!
The band kept people on their feet at the reception, and they also dj’d music when they were on their breaks. They had a great collection of songs, and we really enjoyed having them. I would definitely recommend them and feel they were very well priced and well worth it.

Excellent job!! The music was great! We gave minimal direction, however all their songs were very upbeat and perfect for the occasion. Our event was perfect thanks to Reality Check. I cannot tell you how many of our guests came up to me during the night to say how great the band was and how much fun they were having dancing to the music. Our guests packed the dance floor all night long. To my son's delight and the crowd's (as my son showed off his best moves) Jeff even found time during the dj portion of the night to play his favorite song. Jeff, Michael and Eddie played every one of our favorites. I would hire them again in a heart beat and would not be surprised if many of my guests hired them in the future. Thank you Gig Masters for helping me find such a great band!!

Super-nice guys, very energetic and sound great. Put on an awesome show for our party in Hermosa Beach. Showed up early and were set up & ready to go. They were sweaty and wiped-out at the end so you could tell they gave it their all. They have great charisma/stage presence/whatever you call it so they really made it fun for our guests. We had them play all 80's music, and they had quite a deep repertoire of all the hits. I don't know how they have the time to learn them all. They told us they also can do 60's/90's/newer stuff. I'd definitely hire them again. Wish we'd had them for our wedding (or for the UCSB days! That would've been quite an Isla Vista party).

We hired Reality Check for an 80's themed Holiday Party and they were AWESOME!! They even dressed up for the occasion. They had all of our guests dancing all night long. Great band, great performance. Everybody was asking us where we found such a good band. Lots of people commented that they thought a DJ was playing because the music was so flawless. They found and played all the songs we wanted, even the ones that were hard to find. They also took the initiative to coordinate with our Iranian DJ, they let the Iranian DJ use their equipment, and even stayed until the end of the night so that the iranian DJ could finish. The only issue we had (and again, this was a small glitch in an otherwise perfect performance) was that we put a money dance on our program, but we did not get to do that due to time allocation.

Reality Check was better than I could have imagined! Before the event, they were proactive and accomodating, as well as nice as can be. During the event, the music was great...I can't tell you how many people came up to me to find out where we'd found the band because they were amazing!
