Pan Paradise Steel Drum Band Reviews

Pan Paradise was very talented. Everyone enjoyed the music. I was expecting to see Dexter himself, because I had read such good things about him on the site and talked with him on the phone. I was disappointed that he wasn't there. But overall Pan Paradise delivered what they promised. Thank you.

Dexter (Pan Paradise) is a perfect gentleman. We really enjoyed every minute of it ! He gave to our party a lovely touch of the caribbean ilands....he knew exactly what to do and when.....we strongly recommend him to anyone who wants to have a great steelband dinner party. Dexter Browne did an excellent job at my wedding. He played all music requested by me and it sounded beautiful. He was very prompt and very accommodating. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a steel drummer.

Very talented, people enjoyed the music. Not many people danced, I was wondering if he could of tried to engage them. Regardless, Dexter is a super nice person and very professional!

I was expecting Dexter to actually do the steel drums for my wedding but someone else ended up doing it. I was still satisfied and we just got back from our honeymoon and everyone else has told us it was great too. It was a great addition to our cocktail hour and we are both happy we went with Pan Paradise.

There was a little bit of confusion in the beginning but once everything got figured out the band was fantastic! The band was very friendly and even let some of our quests play the drums. The music was great and really made the reception! Thanks, Sarah and Brad

The performance fit well with the theme of the Party. Happy to have selected Pan Paradise. They arrived punctually and worked hard the whole night.

The performer was very good and a big hit at my wedding. My complaints were that he was late, which set the wedding back by about half an hour, and he didn't know which songs I'd asked to be played for the procession and bride's march. It ended up working fine, he just played what I'd requested for the bride's march for the whole processional, but it just wasn't what I wanted. Still, while I didn't hear much of him playing because I was taking pictures, the feedback was good from people who were at the reception.

Our event was held in Miami, and unfortunately the performer (who was coming from Ft. Lauderdale) encountered some unexpected traffic on his way to the event. He was one hour late for a two hour event. Although Pan Paradise adjusted the price, it was quite disappointing. As far as his performance, his music was great but I expected more enthusiasm. However, I'm aware that his "entertaining" abilities might have been hampered by the fact that he was stuck in traffic for nearly three hours. I have also requested an invoice or some documentation of the fee to be e-mailed to me and I have not received it yet.

he music was great, but the player went to the wrong hotel and came late to ours. The cocktail hour had started and he had to set up while guests were already on the patio. Once he set up, the music was exactly what we wanted.

Our player did not follow the very specific directions to our location which were emailed weeks prior to the event. He went toan incoorrect location and had to be escorted to the correct location. Judging from past reviews this seems to be an indemic problem with Pan Paradise. With the knowledge of a 5:30 start, better arrival time neede to be alloted. Our musician arrived at 5:40 pm for a 5:30 pm start. He never introduced himself to the bride nor groom. Over-all, I question whether the investment of $350 + $20 (booking fee) + $50 tip for a total of $420 for what ended up being less than one hour of music was worth it.... actually there is no question - it was not.

We booked with Pan Paradise for our WEDDING, pretty important, right! When I spoke to the owner he was very nice and assured me everything will be fine. I requested we need a steel drum player for our CEREMONY and as a bonus one to continue to play at our cocktail party for an hour. The week leading up, I was even told we might get two drum players to show up, to help the transition. I said we have made the ceremony at 4pm and the cocktail party at 5 just to make it easier for them. We even spoke about what song was to be played during the wedding march and on the way out. To make it easy, the wedding was all held at the same location on a resort! WELL, I arrive downstairs from my hotel room, with wedding dress on. About to walk down the aisle.....and NO MUSIC to be had! Meanwhile the drummer is setting up out at the cocktail area. So, I had to walk down the aisle in silence and leave in silence. I was pissed! The drummer that was sent, was not the man I spoke to on the phone several times. And the man playing at the cocktail party said he knew nothing about it! I was sort of scared about booking a band on this website, but thought it must be professional and why not give it a chance. Now, I am sooooooo regretful, I did not go use my dj comany that provided an amazing service on the night and offered steel drumming. I still can't believe something so simple could go sooooo wrong. My vision of walking down the isle to the island beats is not to be had. Dissapointed Bride!!!

Below a list of evidences that we did not like about Pan Paradise service during the event: 1. Even if they promised to provide sound system support during and after their performance, they did not, leaving our wedding without music when the guests were still there. 2. Rude and unpolite actitude to collect their payment. We forget to take with us our check book and their lack of understanding pushed us to borrow money of our close friends during the wedding!! 3. They told us that a couple of singers were coming at no extra cost, but the singers never appered. We would not recommend them for their lack of professionalism!

Pan Paradise was perfect for our beach wedding. They played lovely music during dinner and after got everyone dancing. showed up on time and was very professional.
