Jim was great! We were married at a golf club and unfortunately had active golfers, but Jim was accommodating and flexible, working around them. He came up the hill playing, which added to the overall experience and ambiance. Jim dressed in traditional Scottish Tartan, as requested, and even stayed longer to take some pictures! We couldn't recommend him more for anyone looking to have some great bagpipe playing at their wedding or event. Thanks again, Jim! -Dom & Courtney

Jim provided great feedback on song selection, even reaching out to the bagpiping community for appropriate songs for our event. He was on time (early in fact) and took playing in the pouring rain in stride. Overall, his playing added just the right atmosphere. Highly recommend. Nice guy, too.

Mr. McGilvery did a fine job. Dressed every inch the part, musicianship was first rate - and he played outside for the internment part of the funeral in blustery 10 degree winds with no complaints. We were very happy with his work.

Jim lead us out of the church while playing the bagpipes in full uniform and continued to play while everyone exited. He exceeded my expections and it was all everyone raved about afterwards! It was an epic ending to our recessional at our wedding ceremony. Thank you so much Jim!

What can I say.....Jim was awesome, awesome, awesome! Only three people at my party for my husband knew that Jim was coming to play bagpipes and everyone thoroughly loved the surprise. Jim is a true professional! He was extremely responsive, very easy to deal with& very accommodating. Our party was for my grandfather's 90th birthday, unfortunately he ended up sick the day of the event, I reached out to Jim immediately when I found out & not only was he understanding, he accommodated a new date for us, even though he had another gig earlier that day. Jim took requests& put a smile on everyone's face. My grandfather loves seeing pipers in person, he says usually people only play for funerals & he was lucky enough to have them play for just his birthday. This was my first time using Gigmasters& I will be using them more for upcoming events.

We hired Jim to play before and after the ceremony. After a glitch with music for the ceremony, Jim came forward and said he would play for the ceremony. Everybody loved his performance. Jim is very professional and a Great Bagpiper! Highly recommend him.

Jim McGilvery added the perfect touch to our daughter's wedding. From the wonderful music to the extra added touch of asking if we preferred traditional Irish or Scottish attire (we are of Irish descent), he was most accommodating and professional. I would heartily recommend him for your next event! We cannot thank him enough!
