All present at the memorial service raved about his musical ability, and the dignified persona which he brought to the occassion. I personally found Jimmy to be an extremely professional young gentleman, and would absolutely recommend him to anyone who loves the sound of bagpipes. In addition, his willingness to work with us on very short notice was fantastic. Clearly a man of high character!

We just want to say thank you so much for doing such a beautiful job. You came in a very short notice and we are so thankful. Richard loved dannyboy as a kid, and amazing grace, and you were excellent. Again, thank you so much for touching the hearts around you as you played for our Richard.
Birthday Party (Adult)•Reviewed on August 26, 2010•From Lufkin, TX
What a great job Jimmy Mitchell did for us. Jimmy was perfect in every way. We had him come across the golf course playing for my Dad's 85th birthday. My Dad had wanted to be in Scotland on his birthday and to attend a tatoo.....because of his inability to make the trip we brought Scotland to him thanks to Jimmy. Jimmy took requests and played in our backyard (90 degree weather). Jimmy gave Dad a CD of his music. Jimmy arrived early, performed beautifully, stayed with us for a time afterwards to let us enjoy his company...and we did enjoy him.
Grand Opening•Reviewed on July 22, 2010•From Horseshoe Bay, TX
Mr. Mitchell was very courteous, kind, and very professional not only at our venue, but in my interaction with him from the beginning of our conversations. Everyone enjoyed not only his talent, but his willingness to accommodate our requests at the venue. It was clear his focus was on the venue at hand and how he would play a small part in the evening.
Everyone was delighted with him in all respects. I would highly recommend him for future performances.
Wedding Ceremony•Reviewed on April 12, 2010•From Spring, TX
Jimmy was fantastic! He was very professional, early arrival, and entertained our guests while the bride and groom were still having their portraits taken in the chapel. I would highly recommend Jimmy to play the bagpipes at any event. He escorted the bride and groom to the dance floor so they could begin their first dance together! Everything was planned and carried out just as we wished. Thank you, Jimmy!!!!!

Jimmy Mitchell came and played bagpipes for my dad's b-day. We could not have been more pleased. He knew and played a wide range of songs. He was prompt, very accommodating, and was and excellent bagpiper! I would strongly recommend him. Also, he was a really nice guy.

Jimmy was FABULOUS! It was perfection. At the conclusion of the wedding, Jimmy entered the front right and piped the wedding party out for the recessional. After the grandparents left, Jimmy slowly walked down the aisle so the guests could enjoy the pipes and they faded slowly out of the church. LOVELY! At the reception he played in the portico as guests arrived and piped LT Latham and his bride into the reception. The ultimate professional in appearance and playing ability. SO wonderful to work with. Everyone raved over the wonderful bagpiper! Hope to hire him in the future for son #2! Blessings,
The Lathams.
Church Service•Reviewed on December 29, 2009•From Marlin, TX
Jimmy Mitchell was loved by all who met him at the church and all loved his playing. He could not have been nicer or more professional. His bagpipe playing was beautiful, a real talent on the bagpipe. We look forward to having him play at St. John's again.

Jimmy Mitchell was professional in every sense of the word. He added such a beautiful touch to a very difficult day. Yes! I would definitely recommend him and plan to do so. I am not an easy person to deal with when a service offered is not fulfilled, and I can not think of a single senerio that would have changed that.

Jimmy was absolutely wonderful. He performed excellently and honored our requests. His kindness and genuine concern for our feelings was great. We had many notes from neighbors who heard the pipes and loved the sound and knew he was honoring our son. We heartily recommend Jimmy Mitchell for any piping needs. He is not only a great piper, he is a kind and generous person.

Private Party•Reviewed on October 12, 2007•From Fort Worth, TX
I hired Jimmy to perform at my brother's wedding, and he was absolutely perfect! At a family event the day after the wedding, everyone was still talking about "the bagpiper" and what a fun and memorable addition he was to the evening's celebration. If I had it to do over again, I'd hire Jimmy, no question.

Jimmy was very quick to reply to any and all questions we had. He coordinated with the funeral director and honor guard so that we did not have to have another thing to worry about during our time of grief. He was professional before, during and after the perfomance, but still expressed his condolences in a personal manner after the funeral. My father, who the funeral was for, would have enjoyed his talent on the bagpipes. Jimmy even looks the part.
