Jimmy Mitchell is the epitome of a fine Scotsman. He symbolizes tradition very well. We were honored to have had him play at my husbands memorial celebration of life at church yesterday. The 3 selections chosen were so beautiful and heartfelt. His talent and charisma are beyond measure. This is the 2nd time he has honored us with his music. He is A+ for sure. We highly recommend him. If you are in search of a bagpiper for your event and are not familiar with anyone, you needn't look any further than Jimmy Mitchell. We hired Jimmy to play for our daughter's wedding and reception. He played for the guests as they arrived at the chapel, and then headed for the reception venue while the ceremony took place. When the guests arrived at the reception they were greeted once again with his beautiful piping. Jimmy spoke with many of our guests at the reception following his performance. We were very happy with our decision to hire Jimmy as our piper for the evening. You will not be disappointed. He was a big hit.

Our band hired Jimmy to kick off the show with the ACDC song "Long Way to the Top" which featured bagpipes and Jimmy rocked the house with a perfect performance! Everyone was thrilled with the song and definately wanted more. Jimmy is top notch! I certainly recommend Jimmy Mitchell!

Jimmy did everything and more that was asked of him. He arrived, not only on time, but a few minutes early (the schedule was pretty tight). He played exactly what was asked and did so beautifully. We even asked Jimmy to hang around and visit with the guests after, for as long as he had time, which he did. It was a beautiful day, a beautiful event, and we will definitely employ Jimmy again.

Jimmy played "Amazing Grace" at the end of the burial service, and it was breathtaking! He played verse 1 a short distance away, verse 2 up close as he knelt, and verse 3 and 4 as he faded away in the distance. His execution was superb. All of our family and friends commented on how nice it was.

I contacted Jimmy thru Gigmasters and was very pleased with his response to my request to attend, play for 30 minutes, and especially for wearing his kilt and playing Happy Birthday in 100 degree heat in LA!!!!

Mr. Mitchell delivered a incredible service to my family and was so very professional. Courteous and very compassionate, Mr. Mitchell played his bagpipes for our father at his funeral and fulfilled Dad's dying wish. His bagpipe playing was so beautiful and full of emotion. Jimmy Mitchell was very well received at our family event. He was first booked to perform for what was to be our Father's 100th birthday party. Sadly, Dad fell just short of the century mark. Jimmy was able to accommodate our change in music needs with little notice. Jimmy closed out our Celebration of Life Service with "Amazing Grace". It was the perfect ending to the service and a moving tribute to our Dad. It deeply affected those in attendance. There was nary a dry eye. After he stayed to play and his music was appropriate and enjoyed very much. Thank you Jimmy Mitchell for a job well done!! Good Luck in the upcoming World Championship in Glasgow!!
