“Wedding decor now includes photo-worthy backdrops and installations, such as flower walls, balloon arches, or hanging floral chandeliers, encouraging guests to snap photos and engage with the space. This is an engaging activity for guests, allowing them to take high-quality, instant photos with fun, customizable features like digital props, filters, and animations. It encourages guests to mingle and have fun together, breaking the ice and creating a lively atmosphere, especially during reception hours,” shared Cristina, Cynthia, and Sandra of Vivid Occasions Cabo.

“Sculptural floral designs are emerging for 2025 weddings, offering a bold, architectural approach to floral arrangements. These designs focus on intentional shapes and structured compositions, moving away from the wild, free-flowing styles of recent years. With precise lines and striking forms, sculptural florals bring a modern, artful elegance to wedding décor, making each arrangement a statement piece, ” shared Cameron Hardesty, CEO & Founder at Poppy.

5. Flash Photography

“With more and more brides opting for non-traditional venues (like the speakeasy Chicago bar pictured below) it’s not always easy to get the bright & airy photos that were popular in wedding seasons past. Flash photography may be a great way to get iconic photos in a venue that may not offer a lot of natural light, but it also makes for some fun and personality-driven shots!” shared Tina Wong, Founder & Lead Designer at Grace + Ivory.

"In 2025, we're looking forward to seeing couples embrace vibrant color palettes to bring more personality and energy to their celebrations. Bold colors and well-curated details can make a huge impact in photos, creating a lively and unique atmosphere that feels fresh, exciting, and modern. We're definitely seeing a trend in having a wedding that stands out, and a nontraditional color palette is an excellent way to achieve that," shared Masha Sakhno at Masha Sakhno Photo.

7. Super 8 and 16mm Videography

“In 2025, super 8 and 16mm film videography are making a comeback as couples seek to document their wedding day with a nostalgic, vintage touch. These classic film formats offer a unique, cinematic quality that digital video often lacks, capturing moments with a warm, timeless aesthetic. The grainy texture and rich color tones of film create a romantic look, giving wedding videos a distinctive style that stands out from the digital trend we have seen over the past few years,” shared Cameron Hardesty, CEO & Founder at Poppy.

“This beautiful, delicate, traditional fabric is back but redefined in a modern way. We can expect to see more brides incorporating Chantilly lace in their wedding look, whether through a gown crafted entirely from this fabric or a veil with delicate Chantilly lace edging,” shared Trish Peng, Creative Director at Trish Peng.

9. Suit Up for Style

"We've seen brides change outfits for the reception, but 2025 is shaping up to be the year of menswear transformations at weddings. Grooms are leading the charge, swapping their ceremony attire for eye-catching second looks. Think bold colored suits, floral-patterned ties, or crisp white tux jackets following a classic black ensemble for the vows,” shared Jason Jackson, President & COO at Generation Tux.

This trend will rise and spread through the wedding visions of our couples as we head into 2025!”

“Invitations, stationery, and wedding branding offer the perfect opportunity to embrace this charming aesthetic and set the coquette tone. Think delicate French-inspired details like silk ribbons and elegant script with sculpted embossing, letterpress and lattice patterns, or touches of lace. Hints of sparkle—whether through metallic foils or shimmering accents—elevate the look! “In the ever-evolving landscape of wedding trends, one thing is becoming increasingly clear - the future of nuptials lies in the realm of personalization and intimacy. Gone are the days of cookie-cutter ceremonies and traditional expectations; instead, couples are opting for unique, non-traditional elements that truly reflect their personalities and love stories,” shared  Anna Rodenbeck at WCO Events.

“One of the most significant shifts in wedding trends is the move towards non-traditional attire. In 2025, brides and grooms are breaking away from the confines of traditional wedding garb and embracing styles that speak to their individuality. From bold colors and unconventional silhouettes to casual, comfortable ensembles, couples are choosing attire that makes them feel like their most authentic selves on their special day.”

14. Intimate Celebrations

“Another notable trend that continues to gain momentum is the preference for smaller, more intimate weddings. As couples strive to create meaningful and memorable experiences for themselves and their guests, they are opting for smaller guest lists and more intimate venues,” shared Anna Rodenbeck at WCO Events.

“These intimate affairs allow for deeper connections, more personalized touches, and a focus on quality over quantity, creating a sense of warmth and closeness that is often lost in larger, more traditional weddings. In 2025, wedding trends are steering away from the conventional and towards the personalized and intimate.”

“Couples are embracing non-traditional attire that showcases their unique style and opting for smaller, more intimate celebrations that prioritize meaningful connections and authenticity. As we look towards the future of matrimony, one thing is clear - weddings in 2025 are all about celebrating love in a way that is truly personal and heartfelt.”

15. Sustainable Planning

“More and more couples are conscious of the environmental impact of their wedding day. In 2025, expect to see a rise in sustainable planning, with couples opting for locally sourced food, eco-friendly invitations, and reusable décor. Renting attire, upcycled furniture, and zero-waste ceremonies are all part of this shift toward greener weddings,” shared Jennifer Cortiella at Cortiella Photography.

16. Dramatic Draping

“Dramatic draping is set to become a standout wedding trend for 2025, bringing a sense of luxe sophistication to event spaces. Flowing fabric installations, from cascading ceiling drapes to elegant backdrops, create a modern yet elevated atmosphere. This trend transforms venues with soft, sweeping lines, adding a theatrical and dramatic touch to your big day,” shared Cameron Hardesty, CEO & Founder at Poppy.

17. Neck Scarves

“A neck scarf is the perfect accessory for any bride wanting to elevate a gown into a statement piece. This trending bridal addition has been reimagined for the modern bride. Whether made from silk, chiffon, or lace, it drapes beautifully accentuating the décolletage and shoulders and is sure to make a statement,” shared Trish Peng, Creative Director at Trish Peng.

“In lieu of saving for later, the “after party” IS the party. For fun-loving couples, there's no need to delay for an after party. Creative food and beverage, energetic live entertainment and engaging guest activities will be immersed throughout the full event,” shared Angela Carter, CMP at Carter Group Creative.

19. Wedding Content Creators

“For 2025, hiring content creators is becoming a popular choice, ensuring dedicated professionals capture and craft reels and stories for Instagram and social media, preserving every memorable moment of your special day,” shared Valarie Kirkbride, Founder & Team Manager at Kirkbrides Wedding Planning & Design.

20. The Non-Wedding

“2025 is the year of couples creating the celebration they truly desire and is perfectly unique to them, versus conforming to classic wedding traditions. This could mean walking down the aisle together, having your ceremony on a different day than the party, or hosting an afternoon Sunday Funday instead of an early Sunday brunch,” shared Carrie Negri at Emily Coyne Events.

21. Traditional Italian Millefoglie Wedding Cakes

“With Lake Como weddings being a source of inspiration for so many weddings, heaps of brides are choosing to celebrate in true authentic Italian style and serve a traditional Italian Millefoglie wedding cake,” shared Trish Peng, Creative Director at Trish Peng.

22. Vintage and Pre-Loved Bridal Attire

“Vintage and pre-loved bridal attire are gaining popularity as couples embrace sustainability and seek unique, timeless pieces for their weddings. These options offer a charming, distinctive and out of the box look allowing couples to wear beautifully crafted pieces that tell a story with history,” shared Cameron Hardesty, CEO & Founder at Poppy.

“By choosing pre-loved or vintage attire, couples not only honor tradition but also make an eco-friendly choice, adding a touch of character and individuality to their wedding day.”

23. Wardrobe Pressing Services for Guests

“While it’s more typical to bring in an attire concierge to press and steam wedding garments for the bride, groom, wedding party, and immediate family, 2025 couples are taking this a step further and providing these services for the entire guest count,” shared Carrie Negri at Emily Coyne Events.

“This creates an incredible guest experience, especially for destination weddings, as formalwear doesn’t travel well and guests typically don’t arrange for pressing services in advance. We love collecting guest attire upon check-in, and delivering pressed suits and gowns the evening before the wedding with a turndown gift.”

24. Projection Mapping

“For a modern, tech-savvy touch, some weddings are using projection mapping to transform walls, ceilings, or floors into dreamlike landscapes. This allows for instant changes in the ambiance of a space, creating stunning visual effects,” shared Cristina, Cynthia, and Sandra, at Vivid Occasions Cabo.

25. Small Bouquets

“Small bouquets are becoming a popular trend for modern brides. They are the perfect way to showcase your dress and allow every overall detail to shine without distraction,” shared Trish Peng, Creative Director at Trish Peng.

26. Bridal Stylists

“For 2025, wedding outfit changes are practically mandatory. Brides (and grooms) love to swap out their formalwear for fun and unique outfits that are comfortable and fitting for the after party. More often than not, we’re seeing 2-3 outfit changes throughout the day,” shared Carrie Negri at Emily Coyne Events.

“To curate these looks, bridal stylists are in high demand for next year. In addition to styling the bride and groom, they work with parents, the wedding party, and even the officiant to ensure VIP attire is in line with the wedding aesthetic. We've even added a full division to our company to handle these requests and provide our clients with many in-house styling and tailoring services.”

27. Joining Guests for Cocktail Hour

“Being present during cocktail hour can make the wedding feel less structured and more intimate, reflecting the couple's desire for a more personalized and less traditional celebration. Couples are incorporating interactive elements during cocktail hour, such as DIY cocktail stations, mixologists, or live food stations. By joining their guests, they can participate in these fun, creative activities, adding to the overall experience,” shared Cristina, Cynthia, and Sandra, at Vivid Occasions Cabo.

28. Men’s Grooming

“Say farewell to the days of just the ladies getting pampered on the wedding day! We’re seeing a sizable increase in the interest of the gentlemen having on-location grooming services on the wedding day - think hot shaves, bead trims, and haircuts. Round out the services with the use of facial steamers, hot towels, head massages - and beers, of course - and you’ve created a fantastic morning experience for the guys,” shared Carrie Negri at Emily Coyne Events.

“We love including the groom, wedding party, fathers, and close family members. This onsite barbershop concept is unique for 2025, and we don’t see it disappearing - it gives the gentlemen an interactive experience to enjoy on the wedding day (outside of having brunch) and the chance to relax and look and feel their best.”

29. Ladies’ Beauty Lounge

“On the same token as the men’s barbershop, brides are leaning into the guest experience and extending hair and makeup services beyond the wedding party and including close friends and family.,” shared Carrie Negri at Emily Coyne Events.

“For one 2025 wedding, we’re bringing in a team of 9 hair and makeup artists to serve 26 ladies. When creating a beauty lounge experience, we love to include a beautiful spread of light bites, music, bubbles, florals, and lots of lounge vignettes.”

30. Stations-Style Reception Format

“For 2025 weddings and social events, some couples love the idea of replacing a formal sit-down dinner with a reception that’s full of sitting areas and lounge vignettes that encourage guest movement and mingling,” shared Carrie Negri at Emily Coyne Events.

“To bring this idea to life, interactive action stations are placed through the space so that there are new food and beverage experiences to discover at each turn. Think cedar roasted salmon, sliced beef tenderloin, an oyster shucking station, and handmade pastas. Action stations are no longer reserved for the welcome event, couples in 2025 are embracing a new format for the wedding day.”
