Winter has come and gone, the long night ended with a bright sunrise, and we’re down to the final episode of Game of Thrones. It took eight years and 73 episodes, and the world is now left with a deeply rooted sense of distrust toward anyone who doesn’t hail from The North and a suspicion that the proverbial bus or Red Wedding could be around any corner. However, we’re also left with an infinite amount of meme content so it balances out in the end.

If you’re planning to have a watch party to enjoy every possible second of the series finale, there’s a few things you’ll need. Set the scene with low lighting and supplement with candles, and have some chamber music at the ready for background ambience. If you really want to go above and beyond, impress your guests with a live harpist or cellist. Food can be as casual as a grazing table, filled with cheese, cured meats and dried fruits, or a more elaborate catered spread.
