Layin' down that Hot Bayou Beat! Mo' Mojo plays a mix of Zydeco, Cajun, Blues & New Orleans Mardi Gras styles. This music is all about energy and heat and Mo' Mojo brings both on! The band's music results in a fun, energetic, and most importantly, danceable sound. Mo' Mojo combines the fiery sounds of Louisiana with a stage show so dynamite they are indisputably Ohio's hottest zydeco band and that's why they have been recognized by local media in Cleveland and Akron as one of the area's top bands. Mo' Mojo covers a lot of ground in the genre. In addition to their own originals a Mo' Mojo show includes staple hits from zydeco kings such as Clifton Chenier, Boozoo Chavis, and Buckwheat Zydeco; the new zydeco funk sounds of Sean Ardoin and Keith Frank and Zydeco versions of pop/rock songs by the likes of Led Zepplin (Fool in the Rain) and CCR (Born on the Bayou). There's a healthy dose of Cajun fiddle tunes as well as Mardi Gras/New Orleans standards such as Iko Iko, All on a Mardi Gras Day, and When the Saints Go Marching In. Mo' Mojo has played throughout Ohio and the Midwest with many repeat performances at venues such as Cleveland's House of Blues; Cleveland Art Museum's Summer Concert Series; Public Square (Cleveland); the Akron Art Museum Downtown at Dusk series; First Night Akron; Lock 3 Concert Stage Akron; A Taste of Hudson Festival; the Fraze Pavillion Swamp Fest (Kettering); the Campbell Pottery Cajun Fest (PA); and Boppin' on the Basin (Huron), to name a few.
