Lead singer Roddy "Gino" Longino has over 34 years experience as a singer, songwriter and entertainer. His broad musical spectrum has made him a highly sought after performer by some of the top show bands throughout the southeast region. Gino's desire to formulate his own band with his signature performance style, motivated him to create SOMETHING FOR THE SOUL. This Atlanta native sought the best talent around to create this dynamic seven member band – three vocalists, a drummer, a lead and bass guitarist, and an award winning music director, producer, keyboardist Allan “Grip” Smith. The addition of Grip as music director took the band to new heights. Grip's award-riddled 25 year career enabled him to infuse the precision and expertise SOMETHING FOR THE SOUL needed to now be recognized as one of Atlanta's top performance bands. Grip's career includes collaborations with music notables like European singer Marcia Barnett of Boney M, American music producer Gary Katz, Grammy award winning R&B group TLC, Atlanta's own R&B / Funk band S.O.S., and countless others.
