Winds Of Time Woodwind Ensemble from Charlotte, NC

“Winds of Time” is an extension of the nearly 60-year old, 90-piece Charlotte Concert Band. Our quintet players are some of the bands top players on their instruments. In addition to our September to May concert band season, we are proud to showcase the amazing talent of our players year round. A Woodwind Quintet combines the unique sounds of flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, and bassoon to create a chamber group that is well-suited for a variety of occasions. The quintet's extensive repertoire is perfectly suited for public concerts, ceremonies, dinners, parties, restaurants, libraries, art galleries, weddings, senior living facilities, schools, charity events and much more. The instruments in a woodwind quintet differ in technique, timbre, and idiom, creating a unique sound that can add an elegant atmosphere to many events. The “Winds of Time” have an extensive library that includes Classical, Romantic, Latin, Americana, Marches, Contemporary and more. We have even been known to throw in a polka or two lol. Tell us about your event and we will put together a program to fit it! Depending on the requesting organization and nature of the event, the quintet offers free performances but are also for hire for corporate and business events. We require a minimum of 60 days’ notice so that we have time to prepare your special program. We continue to build and add new players to our group to be able to handle multiple events that may overlap.
