Altius Winds Woodwind Ensemble from New York City, NY

New York based, ALTIUS WINDS began when five young, motivated professional musicians wanted a vehicle to render their love for chamber music relevant to the rest of the city. Though all classically trained, the ensemble's diverse backgrounds as well as other musical and extra musical interests lend the group to success in a variety of settings. ALTIUS WINDS is equally at home in the recital hall, the school, at social events, and in the park. Their repertoire spans from the Classical and Romantic periods through and beyond the 20th Century. This includes a wide variety of contemporary dance, folk, jazz, and pop tunes, as well as an insatiable appetite for new commissions.
