Mario Perez Singer from Plano, TX

Mr. Perez has been singing and playing guitar professionally since he was 15 years old. He is a graduate from the prestigious University of North Texas College of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, Spain. While in Madrid Spain, he studied Spanish repertoire and performed nationally. He is a classically trained singer with a variety of other stylistic interests. In addition to having performed for over 20 years with the Dallas Opera, he interprets classic song, folk, pop, rock, sacred, gospel, country, and international song (Spanish, Italian, French, German). His specialty is Latin American and Italian. His Italian repertoire can be heard presently, live, on weekends at Porta di Roma in Richardson TX. But when Mario’s voice is heard singing traditional Mexican Popular or folk song, like sones, romantic boleros, and rancheras( which are popularized by mariachis), there’s no doubt this is his native culture. So not hard to believe, he keeps busy come 5 de mayo, Día de los Muertos, or Mother’s Day. He is also popular singing serenades for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentines, or just because… For weddings, as can be accounted in some of his reviews, Mr. Perez works closely with his clients to customize their ceremony song(s).
