About Vendor
Learn more about this vendor for your event.
Hired Hands is a fun-loving band providing bluegrass and country music with a "twist". We enjoy creating bluegrass-style covers of classic rock as well as keeping to many traditional songs. We can provide hours of entertainment for "attentive" audiences or background music for parties and events. We can also offer solo performers on guitar or banjo, if desired. Note that we can perform within a 100-mile radius of Lawrenceville, GA, or Augusta, GA. The following describes our background. You can find this and other information as well as samples from live performances on our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@hiredhandsmusic. Hired Hands formed in the late 1970s as The Buzzsaw Boogie Band, an auxiliary ensemble of the UGA Men's Glee Club. Mark Haddon, Hal Pate and David Ray formed friendships that would last a lifetime. In 1980, Hired Hands was the runner-up in the Atlanta Battle of the Bands. Soon after, fellow UGA Bulldog Michelle Mayfield joined the fun and friendship. Through the years, Hired Hands has entertained at corporate events, private parties and other get-togethers. For the past several years, Hired Hands has been the volunteer entertainment for the Augusta Charity Classic Golf Tournament sponsored by the Augusta Exchange Club. It helps if your musical tastes have an eclectic bent. You will hear lots of familiar music, but it will sound different than you remembered. From the Beatles and Prince to Flatt and Scruggs, Hired Hands will make sure you have a great time!

Hired Hands Music:
What a joy it was to work with Smith-Gilbert Gardens and to perform for their patrons. The communications throughout were exceptional. The accommodations - a generator and stage for the outdoor location - were perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed it and greatly appreciated the opportunity to provide entertainment!Awards & Badges
