Maria Price-Solo Trumpet & Brass Quintet Trumpet Player from Seattle, WA

My name is Maria Price and I am a Boston-based trumpet player, musician, and music educator. I have an Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance from UMass Lowell and a Master of Music degree from The Boston Conservatory. I currently play trumpet with the New England Philharmonic and the Brookline Symphony Orchestra. My speciality is performing as a solo trumpet for weddings and church events/religious ceremonies. I am classically-trained, and have most recently studied with Steve Emery of the Boston Symphony Orchestra & Boston Pops. I also play with and manage a brass quintet, Mill City Brass (2 trumpets, French horn, trombone, tuba). We play a variety of music, ranging from "light classical" (Handel's "Water Music") to jazz arrangements (Ain't Misbehavin," "A Nightengale Sang in Berkeley Square"), to pop/classic rock ("When I'm 64"). We do several of our own arrangements as well (Debussy's "Au Clair de la Lune," "Game of Thrones Theme," "The Book of Love" by Peter Gabriel). If you are interested in the rich and regal sounds of a brass quintet for your event, please let me know in your message. My standard solo rate is $200 for the first hour and $50 per hour thereafter. This rate is also dependent on the repertoire to be performed, and how much practice/preparation is required on my end.
