Heartbreak Over Petty Classic Rock Band from Los Angeles, CA

Heartbreak Over Petty is MORE than just a Tom Petty tribute. While Petty music is our main thrust, we also play a diverse library of classic rock songs from bands like The Who, Rolling Stones, CCR, Cheap Trick, Ramones, David Bowie, Free, The Plimsouls, Violent Femmes, Neil Young, Marshall Tucker Band, and many others. We are great friends and lifelong musicians who loved Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, but we don't try to look or act like them. After TP's untimely death, we were devastated, and put together a set to pay homage to one of rock's great legends, trying to nail the music and capture the spirit of The Heartbreakers on stage. Originally, we thought it would just be a one-and-done gig, but we had such a blast and the audience responded so well, we quickly agreed to do another one. Then another, and another, and another. That was 5 years ago and we're still going strong! While we play all of the Petty hits and some deeper cuts for the hardcore fans, we also like to throw in some of our favorite classic rock hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s, usually steering toward great covers that were hugely popular but not necessarily what other bands might choose. (Eminence Front by The Who, A Million Miles Away by the Plimsouls, Blister in the Sun by the Violent Femmes, All Right Now by Free, Stay With Me by the Faces, Surrender by Cheap Trick, etc. etc.) We jokingly refer to ourselves as the "least authentic" Tom Petty cover band because we don't try to look or act like them, but if you love Tom Petty music and miss the incredible vibe of the Heartbreakers...we like to think we can deliver that...or at least help you remember them. We play our hearts out and, thankfully, our audiences seem to love it. (References available upon request.)
