GOT THAT SWING! - Swing Band Swing Band from Mission Viejo, CA

GOT THAT SWING! is a SoCal band that brings much more to events than live Swing music! Front man/band leader Alec Marken and his crew like to put on a full show, whether at a guest appearance, a dance hall, festivals, private events, or his self produced show, the Bee's Knees Speakeasy & Swing Dance. We have played a wide range of venues and events around SoCal, including ballrooms, bars, festivals (including the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach), corporate events, city events, and more. GOT THAT SWING! would love to be considered for entertainment at your next event. We are a very energetic, joyful Swing band, with a lot of style and personality, and the musicians in our band really keep things hopping. Alec will negotiate particulars with you, including fee amount, sound requirements, etc. We are 6 members, including two vocalists and four musicians. Additional instruments can be added, as desired, depending on budget. On occasion, we play as 5 members, for lower budget gigs, with only Alec at the front. When a venue allows, Alec will frequently hop out from behind the mic to dance some Lindy Hop with his professional dance partner Sarah Aisha, and also do some Tap dancing. When a real time machine Speakeasy atmosphere is preferred, he will stay in a Prohibition Era, Brooklyn type character, tell jokes, and read the headlines from whatever year he picks from the late 20's/early 30's. The band loves celebrating the music of the 1930's and 40's, as well as a few tunes from later decades, including some very dance-able blues and Swing tunes, and even a few pop songs rearranged to be loungey/Swinging. Band members hail from Orange County and Hollywood, deeply experienced, with resumes including national and international touring for some, and many years of study and performance in music and dance for others. Alec works as an actor, dancer, musician, singer, choreographer, Ballroom instructor, and show producer. Front woman Grace Fae is a quadruple threat...a magnificent singer, dancer, actress, musician, she performs on stage and film, with various projects.
