AZ Swing Kings Orchestra Jazz Band from Surprise, AZ

The AZ Swing Kings Orchestra is a group of 17 instrumentalists and female vocalist, who are professionally experienced performers of the big band swing/jazz style of music. The Musical Director is Lenny King, former creator and leader of the Chicago Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra. The featured vocalist is Joni King. The Swing Kings play the original arrangements made famous by the such great bands as: Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Arty Shaw, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, and many others. The music includes selections from The Great American Songbook, a term used to describe the music from the era of the most important and influential American popular songs of the 20th century. This band is very popular in the Phoenix West Valley; playing for concerts, dances, festivals, and special events.
