Nick is the "Real Deal"! Professional, was early for set up, knows how to help work the crowd and read the audience, takes requests. A man (and band) of many talents!

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on November 9, 2016From Carmel, CA

Nick was wonderful to work with on my beach wedding ceremony music. He was very communicative throughout the process and even came to my rehearsal to make sure everything would be perfect on our special day. The music was perfect and set a lovely tone to our wedding. I would definitely hire Nick again!

Trade ShowReviewed on October 6, 2014From Campbell, CA

As a Certified Wedding Consultant and Event Planner, I only recommend Professionals with the highest integrity. This was my first opportunity working with Nick Williams Music and Steel Drum Artist, Paul. I was extremely happy with their performance and creativity, as well as with Nick's follow through. While I was searching for a Steel Drum Solo or Duo, I was most presently surprised that Nick also played the Keyboard and Sax....WHAT A FABULOUS COMBINATION! I would recommend Steel & Me in a heartbeat! Thanks for the great performance, Nick and Paul. You rocked the house at Trudys' Wedding Faire on Oct. 5th! Many thanks, Marcia, A Joyous Occasion

Saint Patrick's Day PartyReviewed on March 18, 2023From Livermore, CA

We asked for the trio to bring an amp as do all of our bands and Nicks trio did not bring an amp. No one could hear the music. We only had 2 guys play as Nick was sick. We were totally overcharged for this gig.

:

Irish Duo booked and I was told they had sound. Mid-communication it seems. My duo replacements were hired in good faith to professionally carry out protocol in contract. As I have been sick I found them luckily when all other Irish groups were booked. I understand Becky was in Arizona that night and had an assistant in charge. Fees are standard for three hours of music. Local groups in this area compete with rates under scale, which are low to the professional standard. Todays rates are up 20-30% from 10 years ago. Thx, Nick W

Community EventReviewed on September 3, 2020From Pleasanton, CA

We had to ask him multiple times to comply with our mask policy. He was not very receptive and wasn't pleasant to the staff. Music was fine, but I don't think I would use him again.

:

Yes, it's obvious a sax player has to move the mask aside when playing on a song, continuous staff interruptions can spoil the musical spirit. We did comply wearing a mask most of the time while playing and on breaks. We were on time and played requests from several groups of very receptive guests. We got many compliments and two residents asked for my card. I don't see how taking my mask off to play sax twice can be noncompliant. We were at least 20 yards away from ppl in a gazebo. Thx, Nick Williams

Community EventReviewed on February 13, 2018From Visalia, CA

Nick was very professional but ran into a problem with two members of his trio coming down with the flu, and/or unable to make the gig. He did a nice job jumping in and playing music during our parade and dinner. Where we had hoped to have activities including dancing for both adults and kids, we fell short and the evening was cut short by an hour. We don't get our group together very often and it is important that we can have backup plans to ensure we don't disappoint or miss an opportunity to strengthen our community.

:

Hi Bill, so sorry my back up plan couldn't work at your event. Very rarely ppl have conflicts and cancel on me at the last minute. In many years this has not happened. I'm still feeling the after math if that flu bug. Glad your guests liked my music but I didn't expect them to dance, seeing how they sat there during and after dinner. I also remember the whole room applauding after each of several songs. They didn't show me any need to dance as I've played solo before when folks do dance. We'll make it up to in the future when needed. Thanks for your input. Sincerely, Nick Williams
