Laree App Island Music Steel Drummer from Ormond Beach, FL

Laree App has been performing his own unique blend of tropical music along the coasts and waterways of the Southeast for over 40 years.  He is a master musician on both guitar and steelpan, and was the award-winning lead vocalist with the groundbreaking Caribbean-Pop band Windjammer. His solo act covers traditional island genres like calypso, reggae and Latin but also includes many pop, jazz and R&B covers in a tropical style. He performs live as a one-man band with custom backing tracks making for a high energy and varied show. Musically he covers everything from Harry Belafonte and Mongo Santamaria to Bob Marley, Michael Franti, Sade, Sublime and Paul Simon. Please request a playlist!
