Kent Arnsbarger is a solo steel drum performer using an iPod to play VERY high quality backup tracks (all played & recorded by him) over a very compact and amazing sounding state-of-the-art Bose PA system. The sound files you hear on this page are from his 6 CDs, all on AppleMusic or Spotify or on his personal site. These sounds are the exact backup tracks he uses live, minus the lead pan. What you hear is what you get!! Kent has performed at OVER 2,000 different venues and events from wedding receptions to birthday parties, resorts & restaurants, zoos & colleges, casinos & amusement parks and corporate parties since 2004 . After (or before) the performance, Kent can also "DJ" your event with many thousands of songs from many styles of music at his finger tips. Professional lighting will be added for evening events. Kent has performed on television several times including Jimmy Fallon in 2022, a PBS special vignette on Kent in 2021 and a two hour interview on WGN radio and all the Chicago news stations. Kent has also opened for the world famous Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. He also teaches percussion privately and is the percussion instructor at several high profile schools in Indiana for their marching band programs. Kent is a classically trained percussionist from Indiana University. Kent uses REAL percussion instruments and NOT midi sequencers or drum machines.
