Henry Roop, "Dream, Believe, Achieve"  Motivational Speaker from Tupelo, MS

I am open to speak at any function you may have, as my talk involves all 3 of the topics. #1 Talk Requested: "Dream, Believe, Achieve" Henry Roop is a 57 year old Offensive Guard for the Mississippi Maddogs of the Magnolia Football League. He graduated from Ole Miss University in 1980 with a B.A. in Pre-Med/Biology and a B.A. in Secondary Education. In the Fall of 1977 Henry walked on to tryout and play football for Ole Miss. Due to the study demands of being a Pre-Med major, his grades dropped and he had to drop out of football to succeed in the classroom. Now, after spending 36 years in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry, at the age of 57, Henry is now retired from work in the medical field and made the decision to live his dream and walk-on to tryout to play AAA Semi-Pro Football. At age 57, Henry is the oldest active AAA Semi-Pro Football player to ever play the game at this level. He is currently playing Offensive Guard for the Mississippi Maddogs, based in Jackson, Mississippi under the direction of Head Coach Brant Covey. Career Achievements: Selected to the 2012 Mississippi All Star Team - Played 2012 Louisiana All Star Team at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 1st, 2012 Won: 14-9 Head Coach: Tran Myers Selected to the 2013 National AAA Semi-Pro Football All Star Team to play against the #1 rated AAA Semi-Pro Team in the USA, the Southern Cal Coyotes, in Palm Springs, California (January 2014) Won: 38-35 Awarded: 2013 National AAA Semi-Pro Football All Star Championship Ring Inducted into the 2013 AAA Semi-Pro Hall of Fame in Palm Springs, California in January 2014. Selected to the 2014 National AAA Semi-Pro Football All Star Team to play against the #1 rated AAA Semi-Pro Team in the USA, the Wild West Football Team, in Las Vegas, Nevada (December 6th, 2014) Selected as one of 44 players nationwide to represent the USA and play for Team America vs. Team Europe in the 2014 Euro-American Challenge International Scout Bowl in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on December 19th, 2014. Henry has also played football in Cornwall, England for the Cornwall Sharks under the leadership of Coach Brian Smallworth as well as spoken to elementary students there during his stay in May 2015. Prior to playing Semi-Pro Football, Henry worked in the pharmaceutical industry for Pfizer, Glaxo, Johnson & Johnson (LifeScan, Inc.) and owned my own diabetic supply mail-order company in total span for 34 years. Henry graduated from the University of Mississippi with a BA in Microbiology and a BA in Secondary Education in 1980.
