Chez Butter plays soul, funk, Motown, and jazz - great upbeat dance music for your event. The band's fun-loving style of soul keeps crowds up and moving at a wide variety of events throughout the Chicago region. Our songlist features classics by artists like Stevie Wonder, Al Green, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, etc. along with more recent artists like Gnarls Barkley, Pharell, etc. We also have a selection of jazz standards. The Chicago-based quintet includes vocalist Lester Jenkins, bassist Nathan Britsch, guitarist Jay Montana, drummer Pat Buzby, and keyboardist Ethan Sellers - all of whom have been working musicians on the scene for years, playing together in various combinations.
