We are a laid-back jazz trio (sax, guitar, acoustic bass), with over 30 years experience as a professional working trio. We play mostly jazz standards and latin music. We play for receptions, corporate and political functions. We work mainly in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Our rates are reasonable and references can be supplied if requested. Some of our past functions have included playing for Stephen Harper's Garden Party. Jean Chretien's Retirement Party and Paul Martin's Christmas Party. We are ideal for clients who are looking for music as a background function. We won't overpower the conversation. We can also play for dancing, usually a drummer is added for this function. The members of the group are David Ward, alto sax, Pete Foret, guitar and Tom Denison, acoustic bass. We have played for wedding receptions, jazz festivals and bar gigs as well as corporate and political events. Absolutely perfect. Adjusted to the event as it progressed and where the key to making the party a success. Guests commented all evening on how much they enjoyed the music and the quality. We would hire Dave's Trio next time,..would not even consider going elsewhere. We hope we have the opportunity to have them play for us again. Would recommend them to anyone for any occasion.
