Barry Russo Singing Pianist from Sherrill, NY

Hi! I'm a pianist/singer/entertainer who can provide a variety of musical services, ranging from high energy, interactive piano & one-man-band shows to quiet instrumental background music (and everything in-between). I'm also available to provide instrumental and sung music for ceremonies, such as weddings, funerals, and wakes, as well as church services. I have extensive experience as a performer with bands and in piano bars throughout Southern New England, including long-term stints at established venues in Providence, Newport, and a number of other locations. Simultaneously, I've spent many years in church music ministry (which is how I got started playing/singing for wedding ceremonies, funerals, and wakes). After five years as a music director at a church in Louisville, KY, the desire to be closer to family brought my wife and I to Upstate NY, where I'm currently the music director at St. Peter's Church in Rome (NY - not that other St. Peter's in Rome). While piano is my principle instrument, I also play organ, which can be done for church ceremonies and services. Along with those aspects of my career, I spend a lot of time writing and recording original music. I realize on a website such as this, most people are probably looking to hire acts that perform covers, which I do. I just thought I'd mention it in case someone here runs a venue, festival, or perhaps would like to host a house concert featuring a singer/songwriter. If you have a private party/celebration, a corporate event, a festival, ceremony, or some other need for music, I'd be honored to be a part of it. I have a portable keyboard and PA equipment for situations where a piano or PA is not already available. As far as pricing and distance, I chose $250 and 400 miles as a starting point. Pricing will depend on factors such as distance, the length of the performance, etc. For my video demos, I've included live performance samples of popular covers for private/corporate, and public events/venues, and some samples of music for church-related events, ceremonies, and services.
